Yellow Carnuba waxes are very good for clear coat finishes.  Maguires and Mothers both are very good choices.  You can get it in either paste or liquid form.  Just remember that the harder it is to apply and polish out, the harder it is to wear away.  The wash and wax stuff for example.  If it dissolves in water to apply it, it can dissolve in water to wash it away.

If I remember correctly from my days employed with a chemical company, polishes are slightly abrasive and remove oxidation, dirt as well as some of the finish.  Waxes are an overlay sealer, so just clean the car very well with your choice of cleaner/wash then wax it.

Do not use any chemicals on your quarter windows, including wash and wax products or household glass cleaners other than a vinegar and water type.  A small amount of liquid dish detergent and water works best.  Be sure not to let this mixture drip onto your freshly waxed car.  It could result in some streaking or wax removal.  However, it does make a good car wash prior to waxing since it's a great degreaser.
