Title: Whodeanie Needs Help
Post by: Fierofool on May 01, 2012, 08:52:20 am
Whodeanie's Customs needs to relocate from Woodstock to Canton, Ga. about 10-15 miles away.  Many have already said they would help out, so if you have a truck, trailer, or anything that can haul or pull a trailer, he's starting the move today, May 1.  He needs to be out of his present location by May 17.

If it fits Dean's schedule, I plan to go up on Thursday May 3 if anyone would like to go along to help out.

Donster and I should be updating as info comes in from Dean.

I have sent Dean a text telling him that I have a truck and a trailer ( I used this trailer to haul cars, though it is not "technically" a car hauler (no ramps). and am just waiting on a reply of what works best for him. and since I live in Canton, I am pretty much available anytime after work and whenever on weekends. If you hear anything before me, please let me know......BTW, where in Canton?

Told Dean to call/text us but haven't heard from him yet.

OK, Dean just called.

He can use the help NOW!

His phone is blowing up, so just go to his (old) shop and he'll let you know what you can do to help.

Old (current) address:
706 Executive Ct.
Woodstock, GA  30189

New address:
202 North Industrial Way
Canton, GA 30114

Any and all help is appreciated!

Thanks all

Wow...another bump...gonna need new shocks when we are done with all this.  I know this isn't like me, but I decided to actually test drive the truck before leaving for Georgia in it.  I assume I should just show up at the old shop?  Should be there around 1ish.

Either Dean or Aaron will be there.

so, am I understanding this right......when I come tomorrow morning (Saturday) I should go straight to the old shop? also, should I bring my trailer? (it is a big flat bed normally used to haul a tractor so I dont have the proper ramps for a Fiero). and last question, what time in the morning is good? the earlier the better for me.

edit to add: PAGE 2 OWNAGE!!.......that is all :P

Dean said he would move the cars that needed to be hauled on his trailer.  If you have any means of holding things on your trailer while in transport, I'm sure the trailer would be useful for carrying body panels, cradles and other parts.

If anyone out my way goes over, I have some lids for totes that I placed in my back seat so they wouldn't blow away.  Would like to send them back to Dean.

Roger and I got there around 10.  Dean had told me he is usually there by 9.

I have thrown a couple of moving blankets inside the back of the FieroHERO vehicle and plan on coming up Saturday. It will be good for moving boxes, parts, etc.

About how much still needs to be moved?

He said he's been going full steam since before the Daytona gathering, so he's turning off his phone and crashing all day Sunday.

I've had some one-on-one discussions w RR, and she does know her stuff! She has an eye-for-detail that you just don't see that often, and I beleive she and Tinkerbell both make great additions to our club for this, and many other reasons: they're friendly, fun and energetic.

Another tip of the hat should also go to new member Spartanz, who also has jumped in and brought some renewed enthusiasm to our group.

All three of these fine young people are, IMHO, inspiring us all to get even more excited about what our club can do!

Lol... you guys are great!  Thank you!  I know enough to get myself in trouble.. lol!  Wish more of you could have seen the firebird when it was up and running.  Raydar is probably the only one who has seen it.  And that was so long ago!  I know Don googled it.  Lord know what he found... lol.  Least you have gotten to see the Mustang.  Lots more we want to do with it if we ever have a chunk of $.

Im just glad to find a group who accepts us!  My old f-body club seemed to push us away when the bird went down.  So much for a community!  You guys rock!

I talked to him while moving Saturday and he said he probably will still be moving stuff this weekend but if nothing else, he said he could use help sorting stuff and stocking shelves. That was Saturday though, and you know how doo doo occurs  :D I plan on being there this weekend again unless I hear otherwise.
Title: Re: Whodeanie Needs Help
Post by: redraif on May 09, 2012, 05:09:57 pm
Before we left Saturday I told him to let me know if he wanted help with the parts sorting and organizing on the shelving.  I told him to call me or pm me if he wanted my help.  I was trying to keep from having to bother him.  I figure if he is at the picnic when we get there I will see his things are looking.  I can't help except on the weekends anyway.  I figure Sat is a wash, but if he wants, there is Sunday

My statement was sincere, but it is also way too late in the gameplan to cancel.
And people have already dropped money and time into this picnic, to include Anne and myself, so I plan on going to Dean's on Sunday to help out.

I will be at Deans at least two days with Tuesday being a definite.  He must be out by Wednesday night.  It's only an 11 mile trip between shops so we can make several loads a day.  If you don't have a truck, you can ride with me to help load and unload things.  Let me know if you want to join me on any particular day.  It's a club cab truck so I can transport 3 people.

I just got off the phone with Dean.

Due to the passing of his father, he will need to stay out West for a few more days, hence this:
Aaron is overwhelmed with the new shop setup and could greatly use some help sorting thru parts and such; can we have some volunteers to help them get settled in?
Any help would be greatly appreciated in such dire times for Dean, as it seems that things just keep piling up for him.

Anyone have a report on the shop to see how things settled out after this weekend?

I have fallen out of the loop yet again!  Not enough hours in the day!  We have had much home bound chaos we have been attending too.  Lets just say we had 7 animals to the vet Friday!  Most routine stuff this time, but still insane!  Then Saturday-Monday my honey do list exploded and did not get done!  Lets say I have been outside till dark everyday this week and figure I will loose the coming weekend to the ever growing list!  But hey maybe the yard will be presentable by the end of the coming weekend and free time can be had soon! :D

I talked with Aaron, last Saturday.
He said that one lift was bolted down and wired up, and that the giant parts pile had been significantly trimmed. (You should have seen it!)
I haven't talked with Dean yet. I know he's busy. I don't want to bother him.
A couple of weeks ago, he was talking about escaping and going to the Dells run this weekend, just to chill, but I don't know if he's doing that, after all that has happened.
I hope he does. I'm sure he needs to decompress a bit.
