POLICE say a man found dead on train tracks south of Sydney was responsible for the murder of a mother and daughter in Sydney's west.
Officers were looking to question Hong Rui Fu after two women, aged 49 and 26, were found dead in their Auburn home on Wednesday.
Mr Fu's body was found on train tracks at Bundanoon, in the state's southern highlands, on Friday.
Police are not treating his death as suspicious.
Acting Assistant Commissioner Arthur Katsogiannis told reporters on Saturday that police believed Mr Fu killed the two women.
"We believe that that individual was the one responsible for the murders at Auburn," Mr Katsogiannis said.
Police have described the Auburn crime scene as extensive and confronting, but details about how the women died have not been released.
A car belonging to one of the deceased women was found near where Mr Fu's body was discovered.
Police have previously declined to say whether or not the 28-year-old was related to the women or if he lived with them in the Paul Street residence.

Australia has a total ban on all weapons, not just certain ones and the criminals still have guns? How can that be?
-
Not every one handed their fire arms in
-
"When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."
-
That's the major reasoning behind the opposition to gun control or gun bans. The law-abiding citizens gave up their guns, the criminals didn't.

This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead. - Adolf Hitler

I quoted Paul on this on Pennocks in the same topic posted by proff. Someone provided documentation that this was never spoken by Hitler.

I guess that in comparison, 7 shootings in 5 days isn't bad when you look at Chicago's 72 shootings on July 4, Independence Day.
-
you have alot more shooting over there than we have but the guns are not legal here .
here if you have a gun you can get a licence for them but as for licence to carry , never will happen
-
In Chicago (and all of Illinois), concealed weapons carry is not legal, and they have the highest violent crime rate. There are towns here in Georgia where gun ownership is mandatory, and they have the lowest violent crime rate.

that wouldn't work here because of the idiots that would play around with them and shoot anything or any one just for the fun of it.

The US has more shootings probably because it has a higher population than Australia. I don't know how the number of shootings compares per capita. If you compare, solely based on the laws that are in place in our two countries, Australia should have next to no shootings, since guns are banned or highly restricted.
When I hear someone say "There was a shooting" I think of an assault. but when the numbers are compiled for the number of US shootings, I would bet that they also include those that were justifiable shootings, like self defense. It kind of inflates the numbers for the anti-gun advocates.

TWO men have been killed in separate shootings in Sydney's south, but police do not believe the incidents are linked.
A 19-year-old man who had been shot several times was treated by paramedics after officers were called to an address in Albyn Street, Bexley about 9.45pm (AEST) on Monday.
He was taken to St George Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Specialist forensic officers are at the scene of the incident.
In a separate incident in Earlwood about 9.30pm, police and emergency services responded to reports of shots being fired at a Charleston Avenue address.
A 35-year-old man sustained several gunshot wounds and was transferred to St George Hospital where he underwent surgery, but he died early on Tuesday.
Although both investigations are in their early stages, police do not believe the shootings are linked.

I don't think they died of gunshot wounds since the police don't think the shootings were linked. The only thing common in their deaths is that they were treated at St. George's Hospital. :D
