Title: In Need of Fastback Rear Clip and ....
Post by: Fierofool on May 13, 2013, 06:02:45 pm
A club member was rear-ended in his GT and will be in need of assorted repair parts, including the rear GT clip, tail lights and rear fascia.  There will be other items needed as we delve deeper into the damage.

If you have any body parts from the back of the doors to the rear, please let us know.

Right now, it looks like the rear clip is OK with just a few cracks across the panel above the tail lights and probably inside behind the tail lights.  The rear fascia and tail lights are toast and the rear side markers.  The rear egg crate and probably the internal bumper , also.    Let us know what you have.

The left tail light is the worse one.  The right is cracked a little at the top near the latch and is still serviceable but should be replaced.  His vents are OK, the decklid has a lot of cracks underneath, the side quarters are OK.  All the damage is from the rear of the wheel wells back.  It didn't look like it bent the cradle or main frame rails, just the rail extensions.  You may have everything he needs.  His has a spoiler on it and it wasn't harmed.  How difficult to install a spoiler on a non-spoiler deck lid and get it in the right position?

By The Way, we're trying to keep the car from being totaled by the other driver's insurance.  That's why we're trying to locate the parts ourselves.  I'll have him contact you, Don.
