Title: Solar Electric Fiero
Post by: pgackerman on January 04, 2014, 07:23:29 pm
The 2009 DC auto show featured a solar electric Fiero called Destiny 2000.
Here's the link: http://green.autoblog.com/2009/02/02/dc-auto-show-destiny-2000-used-to-be-a-fiero-now-its-a-solar-e/ (http://green.autoblog.com/2009/02/02/dc-auto-show-destiny-2000-used-to-be-a-fiero-now-its-a-solar-e/)

Anyone out there in Fiero land know anything about this?  Sounds like the company converted several Fieros to electric.

There is an EV event held up in the Mid Atlantic, somewhere.  I remember seeing a video on YouTube and it had several electric Fieros in the drag races.  They were actually faster than a stock V6. The people who did them weren't from California, though.  Seems like they were from Maryland, Virginia or Pennsylvania areas.

Found the video.  It's not solar, but it is EV.  Is the Destiny 2000 charged by solar power only?
