What day is the Feb Club meeting?
-
It will be on the 8th. Maybe since it is a snow day today, I can update the club calendar.
-
Are we still going to have this considering all the snow and traffic problems down that way?
-
The Meeting Is A Week Away.
Of Course We Will Still Have A Meeting.
-
Our snow has already melted away up here. They even salted our street today. But that hasn't stopped me from driving wherever I want to go.
-
Roads are totally clear down here, too.
Today I heard a weather forecaster speculate the possibility that we may have something else coming in next weekend. Stay tuned for updates on the Georgia Fieros Communications Network.
-
I was wondering about the possibilty of putting some pictures on the wall at the diner to bring some attention to our club.
-
Just take the picture pages of that club calendar we did for 2012, and put them on the diner wall.
-
First, I wanted to be clear....my suggestion that the meeting might be canceled because of the snow that Atlanta got was meant as a joke. But, on a more serious note, I have seen predictions that more is coming this weekend. I think it is highly unlikely, but...should there be snow or ice that would hamper travel, Ron and I agree that it is better to not risk the cars and delay the meeting for a week. Remember, that is IF there is snow or ice. I don't see it happening though....so lets load up that parking lot with a record number of Fieros on the 8th.

I think the pictures they have on the walls were all taken by a photographer from the Mopar Club. We may be able to give him our pictures and let him add the graphics to them, though.
Meantime, Tim, can you bring your good camera to capture the moment?
I need someone to drive one of my cars. Anyone available or have a friend that can drive a stick shift?
Weather Update: Prediction for rain is now 60%. Greg, don't drive the convertible.
-
Yes, I will bring a good camera and tripod. I think the Mopar photographer 'might' have been charging to take the current photos? I can add the graphics. I am certain that we would have to furnish the frames (easy to find at a dollar store).

We'll probably need to get Roy's approval to put up any pictures. I think he provides the frames, too. We can ask him about the process. If we have enough, maybe we could all go some place to get a group photo where there aren't other cars in the shot. The front of the lot next door or the church next door to the bank has a huge back parking lot. On Saturday, there are few if any cars at either. The side lot of the bank would allow the Diner in the background.

Do You Want The Club Banner ?
-
If it's a "gray" day, can we wait until spring when the sky will be blue and the foliage is back?

As we get closer, the forecast is looking better. Now it's forecast to only be a 30% chance of showers.
-
Hey Charlie, I'm available and can drive your other car tomorrow.
-
I am a new fiero owner and I have a question.
Can anyone come to the meeting?

I am a new fiero owner and I have a question.
Can anyone come to the meeting?
ABSOLUTELY! We hope you will come check us out!
I've been coming for a bit over 3 years now, and it's a great group of knowledgeable people who share a real passion for Fieros and comradery.
We usually meet on the second Saturday of every month at 1:30 PM at the Galaxy Diner in Chamblee.
Dates and locations might (rarely) change if we meet in conjunction with a car show, picnic, or other special event, but tomorrow's (Saturday, February 8, 2014) meeting is at our usual place, the Galaxy Diner.

You don't even have to own a Fiero, just have an interest in them. Get there a little early to be sure you get a fire extinguisher. First 20 people get one to hold onto until the end of the meeting.
-
Fiero Fool...... you are SOOOOO bad!

But isn't that the first thing people talk about after saying " man I wanted one of those when I was in High school." I hear it usually at the gas pump.
Sad to say that it looks like I will not be driving out today - I want to work on the Fiero instead . Hopefully I will have it to where I can bring it in the March meeting.
-
There were fancier cameras there than the one I brought, but I didn't do too badly. These may be a bit wide for your screen, but shrinking them more didn't seem right...

Hint: Hit the Print button above the messages if the pictures are too wide.

oooo I am soo Jealous -
I almost have the tank out now. been taking my sweet time; making sure the engine was cool and verifying that is was truly the pump...
-
Sorry to anyone who didn't get their car included in the group photo today... we had posted on the forum about doing individual photos after today's meeting for anyone who wanted, but just decided on the spur of the moment (i.e., since the entire one side of the parking lot was completely free of any cars other than Fieros) to try for a group shot.
I will still be glad to shoot individual shots of anyone who ever wants them.
Sincerely,
FGTB

Randy, if you aren't already aware, be sure you have a pump for a V6 and also get the NAPA ethanol submersible fuel hose to install the pump. NAPA is the only one who carries it. Other parts stores hoses are only resistant on the inside of the hose, not on the outside.
-
Thank you I have the Gates Hose from Amazon and I went with Bosch 69222.
