Title: AT Transmission bolts Torque
Post by: MetalBlue85GT on February 16, 2014, 01:42:46 pm
Anyone have the Torque value for these bolts? The packaging said 12 foot lbs. seems a little low. I could not find the torque in the manual.

Twelve ft. lbs. is the number I find in 2 manuals.  Chiltons and Haynes.  Here's a link to a Fiero Service Guide that might help with some issues you may encounter.

Thank you - that is what I torqued them to. and after a drive and adding fluid until it was full I ran it for a while to get see if the TCC hiccups would stop. They were still there but less noticeable at 65 than before.

I will wait couple more drives to see if it continues. The Magnet was covered in metal Dust and the fluid was very dark cloudy.

I will probably pull some out from the dipstick and replenish since I didn't try to get more then what comes out from the pan.

Metal flakes are not good. You should at least do a complete flush.
