Post by: f85gtron on January 03, 2015, 06:07:32 pm
From what i gather, the collectors targets should be the 84, Pace car, Indy, 85 gt notchie, 88 fastback, formula?  What am i missing, or needs to be struck from the list?

The Mera, of course, and if you are collecting just because it's rare, the 87 4-cylinder SE (only 1600 made).
Also, any t-top, but especially, a CJB t-top.

I'm guessing, like everyone else, but based on other car models:

'84 'cause they're the first,
'88 'cause they're the last,
'85 V6 'cause they had the first V6,
'86 1/2 fastback 'cause they had the first fastback.

In general, go for low miles, original equipment, no damage.

That said, I'd love a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission Fiero with a V8 or 3800SC, maybe with a Ferrari or Lamborghini body, and HUD, maybe a convertible or how 'bout a ...

Add to Topnotch's list the 85SE 2m6.  The only year of the bumper pad V6.
