As the title says, I'm looking for a good condition radio/heater pod housing, in dark brown. I need the one without the aux gauge panel cutout.
Going in an 84 if that matters.
-
If you should happen to encounter the need for the instrument pod, I have a beautiful chocolate brown 84 pod with only 83.000 on it, if I remember correctly. Had it for about 4, 5 or 6 years, boxed. Ron and I stripped out a really nice 84 but I don't remember if he got the center radio pod or not.
-
Thanks Charlie.
My 84 has the Aux gauge pod, but it's redundant. The main pod already has a voltmeter and an oil pressure gauge. (Strange.)
The Aux pod also has a voltmeter, and a bank of power outlets. (Even stranger.)
I'm looking to replace the Aux pod with a regular pod. Will be the perfect place to park a GPS.
If I come up with a need for yours (this thing is undergoing a lot of changes - ya' never know) I'll keep you in mind.
From the department of redundancy department.

If Ron doesn't chime in, check with him about the center radio surround. Or if you're coming to the workshop next week, ask him at that time.

Thanks. I'll at least be bringing a set of springs. Probably some tools.
I don't know how much use I'll be. Having some stomach issues. :(
-
I think you've done enough 88 springs that just your guidance will be good enough. I think we need to have enough people to work on front and rear at the same time. Right now, I think it's Pat, Ron R, Paul, me and you. Hope someone remembers to bring a pickle fork or the little device designed to push the ball joint out. http://rodneydickman.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=176
The forecast is for a nice day.

I should have one of these; I have a near complete '84 interior for my custom car, & since I'll probably not live long enough to get back to it with all my projects, I could sell the radio surround. I keep forgetting to check the condition... ;D
I'll try to remember to check it & get back to you.
Thanks,

Thanks Paul.
Charlie... I have the "Rodney" ball joint popper. Just saw it in my toolbox, this weekend. I also have a low profile jack.
Is there an air compressor there?
I can't find my large TORX sockets. We'll need a large TORX (T50 I think - but don't hold me to it) to get the calipers off. If someone has one.
-
I think Ron has one, but I don't know the capacity. I have the torx bit for the brakes. I'll also load up my not a low profile jack and a pair of jack stands.
Maybe we can meet there around 10AM to get an early start? It's supposed to be about 87 so if anyone has some 20 inch fans and power cords, bring them along.

Thanks Paul.

OK I checked it & it's in great shape, will just a tad of curling. I'll take $40 for it - if interested PM me or email me at ImThaDriver at yahoo & I'll send you my address & phone #.
Thanks,
Paul

Thanks Paul. Let me see if Ron has one, locally. If not, I'll give you a shout.
