Some of you may know that my yellow car has been blowing fuel pump fuses. I found the problem, and this picture illustrates where it was.

The wire loom on the left side of the picture contains wires from the fuel pump and AC relays. Notice that, were it joins a larger bundle, it comes into contact with the corner of the metal shield between the exhaust and firewall. The sharp corner had cut through the insulation of the wire coming form the fuel pump fuse, and any jolt made it come into contact with the wire and blow the fuse. To fix it, I bent over the corner of the shield (you may be able to see that in the picture), and wrapped the damaged area in aluminized duct tape (to reflect heat).

Yes, thanks. I'll check the L' il Duke Coupe to see if anything might be developing on it. I don't think that area is causing my shutdown problems, though.
