Title: Sam Memmolo's Car Show in Douglasville
Post by: Fierofool on April 01, 2009, 12:06:53 pm
On April 18, there will be a car show in Douglasville with Sam Memmolo, of the various TV shows like ShadeTree Mechanic, Two Guys Garage, and other do-it-yourself auto shows.  This is a benefit car show for the Douglas County Humane Society.  Raydar and Tammy are closely involved and I'm sure they would like our participation and support.

You can find more information in our Events Section.  I don't have a car to show, but I'll be there.  Who else is going?

I'm planning to leave out here around 7, hoping to be there by 9.  How about we all meet together and put our cars in together so we can be parked near each other?

Besides me and Raydar and Don, who's showing a car?  Where should we meet up?

I'm going to try to be there at 9:00 or a little before.

After you turn off of the road into the park entrance, you will go about 100 yards down the entrance road and turn left into the field.
If I remember correctly, there is a parking area as you make your left turn. You actually have to drive through the parking area to get to the field. (I may run down there tonight, just to make sure.)

If you need anything, I'll have my cell. 770:361:7968

Directions...
From the east, take I-20 west to Post Rd. It's one exit west of the Hwy 5/Douglasville exit.
Go south (left) on Post Rd. Turn right on Epheses Church Rd. Should be less than a mile.
Clinton park is a little way (again... probably less than a mile) down on the right. There will be signs. And hot rods.

Dewey... I'm guessing you'll be coming down 61.
Get on I-20 headed east. Post Road will be the second exit. Turn right. Epheses Church Rd is on the right.

We had a great time, today.  Great weather, too.  I don't know if this link will work, but here's some pics of less than half the cars that were there.

Thanks for coming out, Charlie and Dewey and Don!
It was a lot of fun to check out all the cars (and dogs and people too.)
Would have been even better if I had been able to find some sunscreen before I came out.
Now I get to move very carefully for a couple of days. :D

Great pics, Charlie!
