Why doesn't the club purchase a carfax subscription for it's Members? Seems as though it would be of great benefit,,any interest?

I don't know what the yearly cost would be.  Any ideas?  I haven't heard of many of our members who've wanted CarFaxes, but we can put it up for a vote.

I'll do a survey in the CLUB BUSINESS section.  Make comments and replies in that section, only.

Just putting it out there...I may be able to get vehicle histories cheaper than the Commercial websites out there...

We had an account at 1 time.  Free to members and we sold searches to non members.  It was used only couple of times and there were only a couple of outside purchasers.  We had an AutoChek account at the same time. Same result.  Wasn't worth it.

Back then, I think it was somewhere in the $60 range with a limited number of hits per year.  I kept a file of the reports of every carfax I ran for someone and it wasn't many.  I ran several for a couple of cars the club acquired and might have run a few for members.  I think there may have been 2 or 3 that we charged a small fee to outside requests.  I remember one was for 87BlueGT down in Florida when Hurricane Charlie destroyed his Suburban.  He found 1 in Atlanta and I ran the check and went to inspect it for him.
