Title: Electric car presentation
Post by: GTRS Fiero on June 27, 2017, 12:10:50 am

Long and not always audible.  Ends sortof abruptly.  I dunno that I agree with all of this, but it was a popular presentation, by all accounts.

I'll have to watch this in segments, buy it's interesting.  Is that an Uncle, Cousin, Grandfather, or who?

That was a very long presentation!  Your dad has a great deal of stamina!!!

I’ve been driving an ev for a while now as a daily driver, and I have to say, it’s difficult to ride in an “ice” car now because of all the motor/drivetrain noises and vibration. I didn’t buy my ev because I was afraid of loosing my grip on the tree.  No, I bought it because my wife told me to buy a “real” car and stop playing Fiero full-time. I actually wanted a pickup, but saw my car all alone in the corner of the car lot and I felt sorry for it, kind of like when you feel sorry for an ugly little dog. Anyways, I test drive it (after my 7yr old figured out and then taught both me and the salesman how to start it) and I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. I still can’t.  There’s only one other car that’s been able to do that and until recently, was my daily driver Fiero.
The instant torque and wild acceleration are awesome. Once you get over “range anxiety “, charging behaviors begin to become second nature. And the best part, when confronted by a bunch of Sandle-wearing tree-hugging Prius drivers, I shout that my ev is patriotic because it uses and supports only local energies and doesn’t support opec, they gasp, give me the stink-eye, and shuffle away. Problem solved.
Seriously though, I secretly hope it gets ran over and totaled during the night while parked by the street, so I can gut it and throw the drivetrain into the Fiero. Tee he he.

I like to hear my Fiero's engine...and the engine in my truck, for that matter.

I like the exhaust notes in my Fiero, but not my wife’s Subaru. Ewe.

From degradation or lack of charge?
