I've seen the ghost. Here, there. Several times, the last few days. Doesn't post anything. We don't bite.
I'm not sure how this works.
VanGTP5000, ”Boo?”
-
You and I are gifted. You've been seeing him and I've been talking to him.
-
Thats Funny, a Ghost, I usually here of someone like that reffered to as a Lurker !. I have asked a couple people over from GRM and outside in the Real World. some things were posted here relevent to what was asked over there. also I use this site to show folks pretty pictures of my Fiero.
-
All in fun. Lurker doesn't sound very friendly. On the other hand, if you pass through without evidence of your passage, there is no embodiment of your presence. Hence, ghost.
-
Allow myself to introduce...myself ??? I am new to your friendly forum. I didn't mean to lurk about...I just hadn't had anything to post about yet.
Best regards,
-Van

Thanks for posting. I thought that'd give you a chance to jump in. There is so much going on here, some new people apparently find it difficult to make that first post.
-
Hello, and please do not let me Offend you,

Welcome To Our Forum Van.
By The Way, " I Aint Afraid Of No Ghosts."
-
Welcome to the forum. Do you have a Fiero?
-
Welcome to our little corner of the world.
-
Thank you all for rolling out the welcome wagon. :)
I do have a Fiero. Sort of... It started life as a 1985 Black GT Notchie. It has slowly morphed into a Countach with a full engine & transmission swap over the last 15 years lol. I still think of it as a Fiero. I am a big fan of our little mid engine machines!
Thanks again for the warm welcomes and Happy New Year to all.

I haven't figured out image posting on here yet...

If you want to do an introduction of yourself in the General Fiero Discussion section, send the pictures to me and I'll put them into your post, then you can go back and edit for titles and descriptions of the pictures.
I've already seen a preview of it, folks. It's nice!

It looks something like this:

That is indeed Fierruccio. I am anxiously awaiting a beautiful set of diamond stitched lower console tunnel covers from Russ. I can't wait to install them. They should be here tomorrow ;D
-Van

I can't wait to see more pics. Don't forget to share.
"Fierruccio" is very nice.
-
Where does this car live? I would like to see it.
Thanks, Scott
-
I recently moved to South Florida (Boynton Beach) from Neptune New Jersey.

Well darn..... that would make for a long afternoon jaunt
-
I was thinking the same thing lol.
-
I was born and raised in S. Miami. We moved up here in 1961, The rest of the Family moved back but the Mountains keep Calling to me. BUT, I, and Hopefully some of this Crew here will be in Gainsville in October. for the Grassroots Challenge. Plan ahead that's as Close as Most of us can Get,(speaking for Myself really).
For what it's worth; The only West Coast (USA not Fla.) GRM Challenge was won By A Fiero, OK so he was the only Car to Show, A Win Is A Win. Lol It Was 4wd with an electric motor up Front.
-
That would certainly be the longest trip I made so far by a long shot! I have no doubt the car would make it no problem...but my back? That's a whole different story lol.
Can you say trailer anyone?

Van,
Nice ride! That's actually one of the nicer rebodies that I've ever seen.
-
Post a few more?

Thank you so much Raydar. I appreciate the compliment. I have posted pics on PFF before, but not too often. I find that there are some haters on there as far as re-bodies/kitcars go. Seems that some purists think it is a crime to entertain the idea. I don't take things too seriously but I also try not to upset the apple cart.

Post a few more?
I would if I knew how ;)
I bother Charlie enough regarding headlight motors...so I really don't want to bother him with posting my pics. Even though he very nicely offered!

This isn't that kind of a place.

Use PIP, just like on PFF, but a different config file.
-
I can see that pretty easily. I had been trolling around here for a while thanks to fierofool letting me know about this place last year. It was about time to join. But then again...I had been visiting PFF regularly since 2000 and only joined in Apr. of last year!
-Van
-
Fierofool must be the head recruiter. He got me, too.
-
I didn't realize this forum used PIP. That makes it pretty easy for me thanks!

Was the back problem before or after the conversion?
-
Well, I would have to say it came on during as the "conversion" has been going on for over 14 years now.

Van, if you have the PFF version of PIP, I suggest you uninstall it and install Pat's version. It seems to work much better without all the problems of the PFF version. I don't know about the PFF version, but with ours you can post pictures on almost any other forum.

It seems to be working perfectly!

Van, progress?
-
He got the car up and going and I've heard nothing else from him.
-
Unfortunate. It looked very nice, and would have bedn great to see.
