Title: Vin Decoder question

Just used our better vin decoder, http://gafiero.org/vin.shtml (http://gafiero.org/vin.shtml), and came up with this:
1988 Pontiac Fiero GT

Engine: 2.8-liter V6
Body: fastback (GM body type 97)
Number 4920 of 26401 or 2 built in 1988

WHAT DOES 'or 2 built in 1988' mean?

Apparently, it is uncertain whether 26401 or 26402 were built in 1988.

Is there any way to get a date of manufacture, or which number GT built, or any other type of bizarre query - like which red GT with grey interior assembled with AC. etc,etc, etc?
