Any clue as to what the keypad on the dash (last picture) is for?

I'm guessing it's an alarm, or some sort of electronic lock.

The 2nd 85GT that I had, the one I got from the yard in Tennessee, had a keypad similar to that.  It was in part, a keypad for the alarm system.  I don't know if it controlled anything else, or not.  I tucked it up into the lower column cover for a while before I got brave enough to cut the wires.

I guess you could take it that way.  I meant that it fit in well.  I'd have to get a better look, but it doesn't look out of place or aftermarket.
