If you attend meetings or read the forum, you know that MikeMac has been giving of his Saturdays and opening his shop for the club to use, and at no charge.
Mike's business is picking up a bit that he needs to get AeroDonamic together and out of the bay so he can possibly hire another technician. Currently Michael is handling all front office duties and trying to assist in the bay. He has little time to work on his own car.
Roger and I plan to go down on either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, May 30 31, or June 1 and work on his car. Install the clutch and transmission, try to get the broken stud out of the head, and install the engine and cradle so it can at least be rolled out of the bay. Roger nor I have ever dropped or installed a cradle and could use some help and guidance.
Anyone having some free time, please come to help us. We haven't decided exactly which day. We have to wait until the clutch kit comes in.
Let us know if you can help and what day. I'd like to schedule on a day when we can have the most help.

I was thinking about this, earlier today. It isn't free to open up the shop.
Last I heard, the car was waiting on some parts. The clutch kit, a cable, and something else. Is the rest of the car in good condition?
-
He has everything but the clutch kit. I think he's picking it up at Summit as he visits relatives, this weekend.
-
All I can say is "take pics".
-
Depending on the day and my work duties I will do my best to be there, having recently performed a clutch swap and 3 bolt cradle removal something might still be fresh in my mind to lend a hand
-
I WILL be there 1 day or all 3, kinda been on a mental Bummer and still haven't finished my part on the car/stud. SO hey MIKE, SEE YOU SOON.
-
It's looking like Wednesday will be my only available day. I have to pick up one of my brothers from Commerce on Thursday and deliver him downtown on Friday.
-
I know absolutely nothing about the chores but I would love to add my hands but I have a heart-cath on 5/31 and something else on 5/30, if I have a blockage I`ll be getting a stint on 5/31 and stay over night.
-
I know this is off the topic, but Dewey, if you're reading this, call me. I've been unable to reach you.
-
I would love to assist, but it would have to be on the weekend. I can't ditch work with this short of notice.
-
Maybe we could do another on June 2 if you're available. We could really use your experience installing the cradle. Roger, John and I can get everything ready to lift on Wednesday.

That stud is going to be the PITA.
But yeah... I can do it on June 2, if that's good for everyone else. Nine AM okay? Since I'm coming from the other side of the world?
-
Or even later if you want.
-
Is the Aerodon car a manual or an automatic?
-
Manual

How is the interior?
-
The interior is (or at least was) quite nice. Fairly new seat upholstery, woodgrain on the cluster panels, an upgraded CD with EQ, etc.
Don took pride in keeping his car "just so".
Other than the fah-norked third gear, and maybe some fuel system stuff, the car was really in nice shape.
Edit - Mike... we need to check the operation of the radiator fan.
I seem to remember taking the fan relay apart and cleaning the contacts, and resoldering the pins. I'm not sure how long my solder job will hold up, though. That fan
draws a bunch of current.
