Title: Pre-Order RFTH 23 Tshirts.

I have several RFTH 23 tshirts to be delivered at the July meeting.  Would anyone else like to order and receive their shirts early?

Whether you plan to do RFTH or not, I think it would be great that we order our shirts early and wear them so that we can promote an upcoming event rather than promote an event that's already happened.  Seeing an upcoming date might prompt persons to ask about the event and hopefully want to join us.  Wear them to Caffeine and Octane, Grassroots Motorsports or SCCA events, or anywhere you might encounter car people.  You, our club members are the only ones who can keep this event and Georgia Fieros alive.  This is our only major activity that puts us in the spotlight of the Fiero community and the public in general.

For the RFTH shirts in the merchandise section, it states that the shirts will be delivered at the event.  If we want to use the shirts to promote the event, would that just be the remaining shirt orders?  The wording makes it seem as if you must pick up your shirts at the RFTH.  It seems like more truck to haul to the event.

When I posted that, I was following the protocol I've always used.  Because the profit margin is so small, we didn't want to mail them.  The decision to make them available prior to the event was only made a couple of months ago.  Postage will be added.

I recently found that USPS makes no guarantee of delivery.  I paid a premium price for Priority Mail to send some documents to my attorney, about 35 miles away.  Should have been overnight, or in this case, mailed on Saturday, promised delivery for Monday.  It got there Wednesday afternoon at 3:39.  When I went to the Post Office to complain and ask if they offered any refund, they said they didn't, and there was no guarantee but I could have paid the $25 fee to have the letter delivered on time.  On the other hand, I sent your shirts the cheapest I could, cost me less, and your shirts got to you in 2 or 3 days. 

I have more shirts to pick up, today, including your Member shirt.

I picked up the new order with your member shirt.  Mail carrier has come but no returned shirt.  Hope you had a tracking number for it.

My fault.  I haven"t gotten to UPS yet.  Probably Saturday.
