I went to the movies last night in Athens...
Came out of the movies...to my suprise...A white, 88 coupe parked next to me.
Had Pontiac 3 spoke wheels on it. It's in good shape.
Left a card, with a note to join us here.
-
Saw a silver 86 notchie parked outside the junkyard I normally visit the other day...Have seen the car alot, talked to the owner even (he shops at the store I work at). Older fellow who paid $150 for the car which he says ran pretty well when he got it....Now its trashed, missing body panels, molding is held on by self-tapping screws, uses just about anywhere and everywhere on the car as a trash can and the Duke in it is on the verge of death (usual problems with well...everything) I offered to buy it and well...he said his insurance claims its worth $700 and wants at least... $450 for it eventually I believe, that's actually one of the few cars Ive nearly cried about because of their fate...
Also Im pretty sure that same guy is the one ripping apart Fiero's in my usual junkyard using a crowbar instead of actually unbolting things -_- grrrr..... Not surprising though considering I had to teach him that the sunroof could be opened and how to do it......
:'( Sorry I seem to have ranted...
OH! I also believe (unsure since it was just a glimpse) I saw a blue 87 fastback in Griffin when coming home from classes one day, had a flame job on the front end and some kind of strange wing on the back.....Like a short arch, tried to catch up to it to make sure it was a Fiero but the stoplight didnt change fast enough >.< did'nt seem to be a rice-rocket though, stock wheels and the paint was actually really well done from the looks of it.
-
That kinda fits the description of the one I just acquired. Belonged to one of our members who needed to dispose of it. Not the factory blue, and the flames were of a different shade, brighter blue with red/purple flip paint on the tips?
The wing was a low, flat wing that had an arch from side to side? I'll send you 2 pictures, since I can't post a picture here.
-
That one looks identical to what I saw with the exception that the wing was in primer (or just painted white/grey) and it had the stock gold GT wheels I believe.... It was several months ago though.
-
Wouldn't have been this one. It was painted over a year ago.
-
Yup, I was on Thornton Rd./US 278 about an hour ago driving my 88 GT and I saw a red Formula going the other way. Is that anyone here?
Yesterday I saw one too, Don came over and helped fix my 88 GT so I saw his '86 SE parked in my driveway for a while, lol.
-
yesterday,i saw the same i see every time i go to cleveland GA, off the side of the road, with a for sale sign in it. it's identical to mine. i believe i emailed this guy back when i was on the hunt for a fiero. he said it had a 3.4L and he wanted $5K for it
-
Saw mine from the drivers seat, to and from downtown. ;D
I'm sure my neighbors loved it when I left for work at 6:00 AM.
Damn 4.9 is loud with only a straight through chambered muffler and no cat.
-
Got one!
Yesterday Just outside of Lawrenceville around 2pm on GA Hwy 316 headed toward 85.
It was a Coupe no wing...Bronze in color.
-
I just caught Ferris Bueller's Day Off. There is a white coupe 85?(movie released in 1986) driven by Ferris's sister.
-
seen that primered one. im thinking its sitting at the owner's apartment. i'll try to drop a card off when i get a chance
-
It's kind of hard for me not to see a Fiero every day. Yeah, I have mine, but my next door neighbor also has one, so between the two of us, we're pretty much guaranteed to see one or the other. :D
-
I know what you mean. Everytime I go outside I see 2 and if I go to work I see 10 and 1/2 Fiero's.
-
i saw a gold one today. it looked to be an 85 GT with a for sale sign in it. it was sitting at the pendergrass flea market
-
saw an all black notchie, possibly GT. going north on 985 around 7pm. i was going south, i saw between exit 22 and 24
-
saw a blue GT fastback on corner of WASHINGTON & CAMP CREEK at 11:00 this morning....
-

It's still there. It's been over a year. AND there was a white base model for sale on the same road.
-
I saw an all-blue GT fastback leaving Georgia 42 here in Stockbridge... turned onto GA-138 and took off.
This was at 4 PM.
-
I spotted a Yellow / Silver 2 tone Formula headed towards Athens on 316 near Winder yesterday around 2:30.
-
The other night around 8, a white GT was pulling forward out of their driveway only 5 minutes away from my house. As I turned onto HWY 155, a white 80's Trans Am pulled into the street I was leaving. It must have been a good day for Pontiac, because a convertible yellow Solstice pulled up beside me at a stop light after that. I waited patiently on my trip to see a GTO.
Didn't happen. =/
-
I saw a white notchie for sale off of 129N(cleveland hwy) in gainesville. I believe it is this one: http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/1468488557.html
if anyone is curious about it, i'd be glad to swing by and ask some questions, and take pictures. looked pretty good from what i could tell
-
i've keep seeing a twin of my car on my commute home from work. the first time i saw it, i thought for a minute that my car was stolen but it doesn't have tinted windows. I believe the owner is a student from the high school i pass on the way. it has a parking tag on the mirror with the school colors. man, i wish i was driving my car right so he could me pass by
-
I saw this part of one yesterday...

It's an 88 with new everything except rods and pistons. Complete rebuild, I should have it in tonight.
-
I saw a maroon GT going south bound on 985 around exit 20. i wanting to say around 1pm or so
-
Must have been a visitor. The only one other than mine that I know of is on the other side of Atlanta.
-
possibly, i didn't get to see the tag
-
I saw a black 86 or 87 GT for sale on the side of Hwy 129 about 10 miles south of Cleveland yesterday afternoon. I was taking Linda to her sister's house. I was going to check it out on the way back, but I didn't see it again.
-
Saw a mythbusters episode today.....they destroyed not one but TWO GTs by trying to skip them across water, one flipped and landed on its wheels, engine still in the water....... The other had NOS hooked up to it and actually skipped all the way across, both still remarkably ran.
-
The 2nd car (the one that actually skipped) was an 86 SE. Here are youtube videos of the skips. View fast before youtube takes them down.
-
This morning I towed my 87GT to Loganville to begin the engine swap. As I left my subdivision and turned onto the main road, I met another maroon 87 GT. Unfortunately, it was on a rollback wrecker, atop a van that was badly wrecked. The 87GT was also destroyed. Looked like it had been rolled over and over. The only thing that I could really identify was the rear fascia which was blowing in the wind, being attached only to the right side of the car. What pieces of panel I could see looked like the finish of the car had been very good. Still nice and shiny.
-
I got this picture sent to me today.
-

that's the one i've been seeing. it's been there a long time. I believe I found a listing for it and inquired about it back when i was on the hunt a fiero. if is the same one, then it has a 3.4L and I believe he is asking around $5K for it. evertime i see it, i wish was driving mine so i could pull beside a take picture.
-
as for the mythbusters: I posted on PFF the re-air date is Dec. 28 @ 8:00pm. set your DVR's
-
brings back old memories, 40 years living in chicago! umm maybe it was old nightmares!!!
-
There is a red GT that parks about.... 5 spaces away from me at my college (Flint River tech) faded paint on the hood, equipped with an aftermarket side intake (I'm guessing from fierostore) and the wheel centercaps have Fiero badge decals on them. Its in an employee parking space which probably explains why I haven't seen the owner yet.
-
Is it wingless?
-
its a fastback, and does have a wing
-
If it has a wing, it's not the one I thought it was. There was a red 86 up here on a used car lot that recently disappeared.
The Fiero Logo is a flying horse. So, would you call this a Herd of Fieros or a Flock of Fieros?
-
Just saw a Burnt Orange SE with luggage rack at the Cobb clover leaf headed south on I-75 5pm
-
Anthony Craven aka AntMunch, that used to live out here on Carter Road had one that he painted a burnt orange. Wonder if that might have been the one he had.
-
I saw this one at the Year One car show today...and bought it..$5.

It's all wrong though, The package says "1984 Pontiac Fiero"
It has a wing...it's yellow...it has the '88 front nose but the old style wheels.
It has a plaque on the back:
1984 PONTIAC FIERO
The 1984 Pontiac Fiero was the first two-seater car made by Pontiac since the coupes of the late 20's and early 30's. The Fiero was originally marketed as a fuel-efficient commuter car, due to it's size and modest engine - a 2.5: I4. However, the public saw this car as more of a sport coupe, for the nearly 137,000 Fieros sold that year, only about 7,000 were base models. All the others were Sport, SE, and Indy models that were based on the prestigious pace cars used at the Indianapolis 500.
-
Saw a purple fastback on Ga. 20 in Canton turn onto I-575 North, right in front of me. Chased him till he got off at Riverstone Parkway and over to Zaxby's. A fellow in his 70's who'd had the car for about 3 years.
Rear end really messed up because he pushed it with his truck. I believe he said only had about 60K miles on it.
-
i saw that gold one again on hwy129 south athens hwy this morning just before 8am. i was getting off the northbound exit turning right in a "keep moving" lane. he was at the light. it turned green as i approched. i pulled across to the fast lane in front of him, so i know he saw me in my fiero
-
I saw an exotic car on the way home from work about 3 weeks ago. It could have been a late model Lambo. I doubt it was a Fiero underneath -- it looked too real. It was a dark metallic blue, sort of like Charlie's blue GT, only a little darker. It was on 85 going north, and I was in the wrong lane to try to get a better look.
-
i saw a red fastback on mundy mill rd oakwood area around 7:40 am today. west bound, in front of Gainesville college/Lanier tech
-
At the Shell station on the corner of Patrick Mill and Hwy 8, a Burgundy Fastback at around 2 o'clock.
-
You should have come inside. I'd have bought you a Coke. ;D
-
Well, not really a Fiero, but sort of related.
Yesterday as I parked at Kohl's to exchange a pair of wrong-size pants, a lady parked beside me that was almost a dead ringer for Rosy Parks. She said "Hi!", and then said "Nice car!". Her accent was about the same as Rosy's too. But it wasn't her -- she was driving an older, kind-of beat up Honda.
Does Rosy have a sister?
-
I saw a bunch of them in Ashville last week-end!
-
I saw a bunch of gokarts and a slot car up there :D ;)
-
i caught a glimpse of a lambo countach in a shop in downtown cumming. could have been either a kit or the real thing. it had the deck lid and driver door open. the door was vertical. i would think someone owning a real countach would not take it to such a small, kind of shadetree shop, but i could be wrong
-
Was that the one on the corner of Dawsonville Hwy, in front of the funeral home? I saw one there back in the early part of the year. By looking underneath the rear, what I could see didn't look like a Fiero-based car, but I really couldn't be sure. You're right, it isn't the kind of shop that looks like it might service cars of that caliber.
-
yup, that's the one
-
spotted a black GT pulling out of the walmart in oakwood, late last night
-
Saw a red 86/87 GT with aftermarket single spoke wheels at corner of Hwy 155 and Industrial Blvd in McDonough at 1:45 pm today Friday 10/22/10. I was in a turn lane to go East on 155 and he was in Soutbound turn lane across intersection onto Industrial Blvd (right by Summitt Racing). I tooted my horn at him, and he recognized the Fiero's unique beep and his head whipped over my way, and we exchanged waves. Unfortunately, I was not able to get over to the straight lane to follow him because of the way the traffic lights were cycled, (plus a dozen cars in the straight lane beside me). When he drove off, it sounded real good, must have been a stick. Didn't recognize the guy driving it, never seen this one before. That's all.

-
Saw that copper metallic notchback that was parked near me in WalMart parking lot last summer again, this time being driven by a lady roughly my age (well OVER 30), but STILL couldn't get to stop and talk. Maybe next time...

-
I saw a red bumperpad notchie somewhere between Gainsville and Cleveland for sale. I took a brief look at it, and it didn't look anywhere near worth the $2200 they wanted for it. $500 would be generous.
-
i saw a red/maroon formula heading south on 985 around 5:15pm today. just past under exit 22
-
Within the past week I saw a cranberry red metalic GT and a notchie(I don't remember the color as it was dark) in the Canton, GA area.
-
spotted this 1 sitting on canton hwy in cumming, yesturday during work. it had a for sale sign in it. i stopped and looked at it briefly and it looks showroom quality. 4spd manual, interior is perfect, exterior is perfect(didnt like the pin striping, it also had some subtle air brushing on the hood and decklid), and best part about it...the 40K miles on the dash

-
I saw a red 86 or 87 GT sitting at a used car lot just north of Collinsville, Illinois on I-55 today.
-
Saw a red Formula on I-20 eastbound, in morning rush hour traffic. He got off at... Fulton Industrial, I think.
Maybe Tony Tibbits?
-
Saw a Blue with silver ground effects on GA 316 monday around 3pm headed west through Lawrenceville.
-
Went to Tigerdirect.com last night off 85 near the Pendergrass Flea Market.
Saw a Ferrari Kit car...streached..convertible...Red.
Still had the Fiero Dash.
Body work was not completed or needs to be repainted.
Didn't have any cards on me or I would have left one.
-

i got to take a couples of it today.

looks to be a real one. some days its there, some its not. may be the owner of the shop
-
Just saw a red fastback on Grayson Newhope at 10:30.
-
who this is?

Beautiful car!
a co-worker sent me this picture. he saw it while reader the meter on the house, post rd, off of canton hwy in cumming
-
Lucky Arbuckle's son's. He's done a lot of work on it since I last saw it. I bought a gold 86 GT off them a couple of years ago. He did have an 87 GT sitting around beside the shop, too.
-
i talked briefly to a guy with a silver 87 GT 4spd. He pulled off atlanta hwy in the alpharetta area.
-
i love that blue/silver color combo.
-
i talked briefly to a guy with a silver 87 GT 4spd. He pulled off atlanta hwy in the alpharetta area.
Are you sure it was an 87? Unless it's been converted, a 4 speed should be an 86.
Ray and I have been chasing a nice 85SE that lives here close to us, but he disappears before we can get turned around and catch up to him.

Don't you know how to do an EB 180? ;D
-
Me Did! EB locked down. :o Car sit in middle of road. >:( Don't you know EB don't work on Fiero? ;D
-
Are you sure it was an 87? Unless it's been converted, a 4 speed should be an 86.
your right, the owner said it was a 87. i didn't think to question him on it. I was too excited to see another fiero owner. he was familiar with the ga fiero club and the site so I didn't give him a card
-
Don't you know EB don't work on Fiero? ;D
Yeah I thought about that when I wrote it. ;)
In which case you'd have to do an old fashioned bootleg. ;D
-
Red GT - Lawrenceville, mighty muffler today at 4:30.
-
A Fiero-Davidson spotted somewhere in Oklahoma:
http://www.youdrivewhat.com/page/10/ (http://www.youdrivewhat.com/page/10/)
-
I saw a black notchie around 7:30 this morning going down Ronald Ragon Blvd in cumming
-
The red 87 coupe Ray and I have been chasing pulled into my driveway today. It's now sitting in my drive.

No, not this time. The guy lives about a mile from me and has been having trouble with his clutch. I was gonna bleed it, but the bleeder is frozen and it has a Getrag slave on an Isuzu transmission. Gonna rebuild one of my Isuzu slaves with a Toyota piston and install it for him.
-
What would the Fiero World do without you???
;D
\D
-
Yesterday about 4 I was driving my wife's Grand Prix. I chased a white 85 bumperpad from Gainesville almost to Winder. Closest I got was 4 cars behind. Had to turn off to go home. Never did catch up to Conrad.
-
spotted a red padded bumper fiero today on my way home from work. I was on athens hwy(129) in gainesville limits, when I spotted him in my rear view coming up to the stopped traffic I was in. I got over in the right lane and slowed down so he could pass. he passed me, so I sped up, got beside him. He waved and gave a nod then sped up. I tried to catch up to him again, but he was squeezing in and out of traffic and then driving faster than I care to go. sounded like a V6
-
filling up with gas in my 85gt monday in cartersville when the guy at the next pump finished up and came over and asked me if i would like to buy a 85gt that is apart for painting and needs restoring. engine has been rebuilt. guy bought a CORVETTE and doesn't want to mess with the fiero. neither one of us had pen or paper and he was in a hurry so i told him about the club, and he said he would go on line and put the car up for sale.
-
I saw a black notchie around 7:30 this morning going down Ronald Ragon Blvd in cumming
saw it again today. same place, same time, same bat channel
-
I85 Southbound yesterday around 1 PM: Black Chop-Top, think AL plates, couldn't get close enough, but from a distance it looked sharp.
\D
-
There's a red aero notchie (85 GT or 86-7 SE) that lives just a few miles from me on McKown Rd.
It has a wing and painted wheels. Looks to have fresh paint. Nice car from what I've seen. Pass it most every day on the way home from work.
I've thought about stopping in, but my Fiero is OOS for a bit. Driving anything else, I'd just be some crazy old guy. :D
Also, I saw a white notchie parked at the convenience store at the corner of McKown Rd and Riley Rd.
Only saw it that one time.
-
Yesterday I took the day off from work, and we went to Blairsville for Linda's sister's birthday. We took her to Antoinetta's restaurant (a nice Italian restaurant, BTW), and on the way we saw a nice maroon GT with some kind of rack on the roof on the side of the road with another car. On the way back, the GT was still there by itself. In thinking back on it, I think the rack was the kind that would hold bicycles. So I guess the owner was out riding somewhere. It was a very nice, clean GT.
-
Saw a Red Notch back on Hwy 85 North yesterday. It was in good shape, the headlights were stuck up. But the paint was shiny.
-
stopped for gas at QT on the corner of sixes rd. and hwy5 in Canton. started to leave the pump, looked in my rear view mirror and a red notch was pulling up to the pump behind me. I swung around and introduced myself. he had an 87 with a 2.5 standard. body had a little damage and paint was shot but the interior looked good. he said a family member gave it to him and he was driving it like it was until he finishes building his vw rail buggy, then he was gonna start on the fiero......if he didn't sell it. I gave him our website/club info and told him to check it out and if he decided to sell, post it here first.
-
Met a guy yesterday that worked at Advanced Auto Parts in Monroe, GA that said he has a Fiero that he's dropping a V8 into. We talked for a few minutes. I think his name was Chris.
-
Parking lot at Wallmart in Buford on Hamilton Mill and Sardis Church around 4 PM today
Blue notchie with black front hood - driver nowhere to be seen
-
any of these people interested in joining GFC?
-
I think that's why my wife was looking for the driver; to ask
\D
-
I gave the info to the guy at QT and he said he would check it out
-
Today 4/29/11, at 6:30pm or so, I saw a 87 or 88 GT, Black with aftermarket wheels with the sail panels removed. I was at the Kroger in Loganville. I have to say I was just excited to be in it presence. Kinda stupid of me but it was cool to know there is one on the road near my home.
-
There are several in your area. Conrad has 2, I believe. He's down 81 South direction. One is white 85 bumperpad with a 3.4, and I believe the other is a black GT. Lee is down Old Loganville Hwy and is putting together his 86 with a 3800SC and 4 speed. Monte over around Grayson has an 86 black GT. Those are just the ones I know about.
-
Saw a Black GT on the GA-316 to I-85 South yesterday at 10:45 am.
I has Fayette county plate. The interrior has red highlights (radio trim & defrost vents).
I was parked in the emergency lane, no person in the car.
Came back by arount 12:00, it was gone.
-
I saw a red fiero gt at Wild Wing Cafe in gainesville around 5pm today
-
I saw a Red GT with a Air Intake going down Hwy 85N on my way home on Saturday. I was driving my pearl white G35 Coupe.
-
Hey, that's TopNotch and GrannyLinda in their 86SE. Probably on his way home from our lunch with Robbie Finley.

SE! SE!
Fiero Spotters Guide: The 85GT and 86/87 SE's are often confused. The 85GT had silver lower aero trim. The 86SE shared the same body, but the lower aero trim was charcoal. Aside from the model designation on the quarterwindows, the 85GT was badged with FieroGT on the right rear of the engine cover. The 86 and 87 SE had SE quarterwindows and was badged 2m4 or 2m6 on the right rear of the engine cover, depending upon the engine fitment. All versions had dual exhaust with quad tips.

I left my info with the shop owner. he said he sold it but the buyer may want to sell. :o :o :o :o
-
seen gold GT early Sunday morning, when it went by it was " Rat Pee " on camp creek pkway
-
That's an interesting find, Andy. Wide Body, 4 cylinder, obviously an 86 or 87 SE, judging by the engine and interior trim. Those hips don't appear to be grafted on, but the upper and lower clips appear to have been made in one piece and installed. The rear fascia is integral with the rear quarter panels. That car may have some history behind it. That one would be a good candidate for an engine upgrade.
-
saw this one today in windward village in alpharetta. I left a club business card under the wiper. leather speaker seats, and definitely a 2.8, i heard pull out of the complex

-
ok since I can't a response on the IMSA kitted fiero, I'll quit holding out on it's location. It's a place in cumming callled No Longer Bound Ministries. phone: 678.679.1171 email: cars4recovery@nolongerbound.com address: 2725 Pine Grove Road Cumming, GA 30041

Just a side note(s) on that car: It only has the rear IMSA piece - the front is stock (except for the spoiler). The roofs have been molded together - not good. Also, it appears that the rear bumper where it's molded together is cracking out...
Still a good project or parts car if you have time to deal with all of that.

Did it have white letter tires on the rear and was it crossing Hwy 316 on Hwy 8?

Any REAL car guy looks at the car first and then looks to see what the driver looks like. In this case I went by him at 68mph and was acting as a car guy first. :-) :-)

He is familiar with the Ga. Fiero Club, and I am encouraging him to join!

This was an Indian fellow, Atul, who lives in the Alpharetta area...

Italy1 - if I'm not mistaking
\D
-
Yes, I know him well. Didn't recognize the car. I have to say it's improved in appearance considerably since the last time I worked on it.
-
The Don: Italy1 is correct. Anyone know him, or anything about him? Seems like an okay guy...
-
Atul's been around for a while. He's been a member of this forum since 2008.

Whodeanie recently painted a fastback to a deep purple. I think it was an 86 or 87, and I think he lived up that way.
Forgot to post that last week a white coupe came pulling into my driveway. It was an 86 bumper pad. He had headlight problems and I ended up rebuilding a headlight motor for him.

New recruit for the club? ;D

Whodeanie recently painted a fastback to a deep purple.
If it was the one he painted, the owner isn't taking that great of care of the paint. It was dirty. I could not tell it was purple untill I got beside him for a brief moment
-
Don, I think that was the one that made contact with the club one time, got the information about Whodeanie, got the car done and never came back. He was a high school or college kid, I believe. Maybe he's too busy with school.
Andy, I encountered one fitting that description over in Canton a year or so ago. Older fellow and the car was in pretty bad shape. Really dirty.

You know that one. LOL!. I was fixing my rentals hand rails.

Went to Caffeine & Octane this morning and saw a black 88 Formula. Finally met up with the owner, Paul, who was wearing a Northern Illinois Fiero Enthusiasts (NIFE) jacket. He said he had come out to some GFC events a few years ago, but since drifted away.
My home computer is still down, so I'm borrowing one to post this message. As soon as mine is restored, I will post some photos of him and his car.
We had a good chat, and I encouraged him to come out to another one of our meetings.

I sent Charlie a picture of one today, to his cell phone. If it takes pix.

I now have 2 parked in my yard, in front of my new truck. But 1 is sold to 1 of our new club members, Joe Everhart. He will pick it up and pay for it tomorrow. We are going out of town today, I think we are going to the Cheroheala Skyway, no I can't spell it.

Thanks for posting that Charlie!...BTW the 6 story building covered in the gold colored glass in the backround of the second photo is the building I am gutting the interior of ;D
-
While doing some goobermunt work today, I saw a red GT sitting in a driveway. Pulled in and recognized the car as one that had been on a local buy/pay here lot a couple of times. Anyway, went to the door with a club business card and a young lady came to the door. She had bought the car. A red 86 slick tail GT. She and her Step-Dad had visited our site and were familiar with us. Invited them to come out to the January meeting.
-
I left a card with a girl too - saw the Fiero in her yard in Ila. I think she said it was her boyfriend's car.

-
Yesterday I saw a yellow Formula in my company's parking lot
Oh, whait.......it was Roger's ;D
\D
-
Today I met Linda for lunch at the Waffle House at the corner of Shackleford and Pleasant Hill. I came in my yellow Fiero. We were ordering our lunch when a black Formula came and parked beside my car. It was Ashby, and he was covered head to foot in grease, so he must have been busy (working on Fieros?).
-
Well.....Didn't see a Fiero today, sure as hell was no fiero in my Driveway. Damn I miss that car..... Gonna be cranking up my Tig welder today to do some stainless tubing work and then I am gonna keep cruisin' craigslist for my NEXT fiero. Seems like all of the ones I could possibly get are automatics and I want the four speed again.
Topnotch, is that your yellow and black striped fiero you are talking about or do you have another yellow one? I found the East Tennessee Fiero club website again and they have a new forum. Tried to join and could not get on. Reading thru the posts it looks like a lotta drama and people getting banned and whatnot so maybe it is for the best. Sure wish that the East Tennessee forum was as active and friendly as this and pennocks forum. I was not a member there for long but I did enjoy the couple times we got together to have dinner and talk Fiero's. Maybe I need to start a club or something...haha My wife just called me and she had to take my son to an interview and she was sitting in my Astro van waiting for him to get finished. She said she looked across the parking lot and saw a white Notchie with a GT wing on it. She called me to tell me about it. I need to make up some Fiero greeting cards and stick them on people's windshields when I see them but I SO seldom see a fiero around here it is kinda pointless. I mean when I was daily driving my GT around the only fiero's I ever saw were a Yellow GT that daily drives the other way and I waved to him as we both went home from work and a red Notchback that sits in front of a guys house not too far from my house. I almost bought another red Notchback from him when he had two of them and he said the other one was his sister's car and she would never sell it. It just sits there and rots in the sun all day every day now. The other Red notchie he eventually sold and now has a pickemuptruck...
Oh well I gotta get out here and get some Tig welding done for a customer. Hope all of you are doing well and enjoying your Fiero's....peace
Pete
-
Pete, there are actually a number of Fieros close around you. fyrehazard is up your way, and I see others on Pennocks from your area. Maryville, Kingston, etc. Get on the PFF members list and do a search for Tennessee and see what you come up with. Make contact with them. They may know of come available cars. Contact Darrel Finley. He has a bunch. Last I knew of there were about 8.
-
Charlie,
Yeah I know about Fyre, but he is way up near bristol which is like 2.5 hours from me. He contacted me the other day and I spoke to him about buying his Red GT but it is ALSO an auto car. Fieroandrew is here in maryville and I talk to him from time to time. Derek and his father are up near Bristol too from what I remember and I seldom talk to them. Don't know Daryl I guess he is Rob's brother from the name. There are lots of fiero's around on craigslist but most are either asking a bunch of money and overpriced or they are a piece of junk. I am making it more difficult by wanting a specific set of options I am sure but they are not rare by any stretch. It is too bad Oldone's white 88GT t top car is an auto or I would have already bought it. I do not wish to convert anything either. If it is a GT it will stay a GT and if it is a notch it will stay a notch, same with the tranny.. I will have enough work to do on the car without having to reinvent the wheel. I will get one here soon tho so I hope to be able to cruise with you guys and see you at the monthly get togethers. It seemed like even when I did have the car here and it was running good all of the events centered around driving down to Athens to Rob's shop which is nice but it gets old. I watch Pennocks and there are clubs around that have cool rides and get togethers and I wish there was something like that around here. I organized a little ride back in the spring last year and a couple guys came and we had a blast I really want to do more stuff like that. Not bagging on the club here but I think it needs a shot in the arm or something.
There are so many great roads around here and some cool attractions to see with your car and even car shows every week during the nicer weather months it seems like I would see a lot more activity. Oh well maybe I am just dreaming here again... haha peace
Pete

Topnotch, is that your yellow and black striped fiero you are talking about or do you have another yellow one?
Yeah, the yellow and black one is mine.

-
An INDY in our neighborhood???
Charlie, any idea who that might be?
\D
-
There's a young guy named Danial that lives around Dee Kennedy and Braselton Hwy that has a white 86 2m4 and also IndyRestorationGuy of this forum (Eric Weidinger) has a fully restored Indy. He had been keeping the car at his parents' home on Thompson Mill Road, not far from the Spout Springs/Friendship Road/Thompson Mill Road area. You can see that Indy on our home page under World of Wheels 2007.

-
Just passed a silver/gray notch back being picked up by a tow truck on I-85 north before chamblee Tucker @4:45.
-
This was a strange sighting. The young man was taking a picture of his Fiat that he bought and after considerable work, had just gotten it on the road. As he took the picture, he saw another yellow car and watched as it passed. He spotted it another day and tracked it down to my driveway. See the yellow Fiero just to the right of the front of the dump truck in the background?
-
Is there a picture in that message?
-
Is there a picture in that message?
Fixed it.
Ray and I talked with him for well over an hour. Told him about RFTH and he wanted to know if it was alright for him to join us or was it just restricted to Fieros. Told him to Come On Down.
-
Today I saw a white fourmula going away from the mall of ga on Buford drive around 5:40 ish.

Nothing personal Kevin, but I'd take that FIAT over your new FIAT 500 anyday. ;D
\D
-
Having been the owner-victim of two Fiats (X-1/9 and a 128 Berlinita), I can't imagine that I'd ever buy another Fiat.
That said, I would buy another one today in a heartbeat.
Huh?
The TV commercials showing the supermodel with the Abarth tattoo is the perfect analogy. The Fiat, she treat you like dirt, but you do -uh not care! She bring uh you back with her racy look and uh feel.
She scorn you, beckon you back, then leave uh you on uh the roadside crying and broke.
But uh you always come uh back!
Particularly if I had $50K to drop on the Fiat-Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari (turbocharged 180 HP, 16v Fiat 500)

Today, July 5 about 10-10:30 AM I saw a young man in what I think to have been a Gold 86 or 87 SE stopped at the light on Ga. Hwy 20 at Hwy 316. It was the first car in line and I saw it as I passed through the intersection. Layed down on the horn. Who was it?
-
Black Fiero ('84-'85?), not shiney, on 120 headed away from Gwinnett Medical at 316 around 4pm yesterday.
Couldn't catch up to see who it was...too fast!
-
i saw a white fastback on a trailer heading south on I-77. couldn't tell you exactly where. somewhere around mile marker 65 or so.
-
July 21 while some of us were scouting for Run For The Hills, we found an 85GT from Canton, Ga. parked on The Tail of The Dragon watching vehicles pass through. Then as we got to the lower end, we encountered a beautiful 26,000 mile silver fastback that a man had recently bought. He was from Charlotte, NC and had brought his teenage daughter down to The Dragon.
Did anyone get any pictures? TopNotch? WhiteandNerdy? CowsPatoot?
-
I got some pictures, but my internet was out yesterday. I'll put them the trial run thread later.
-
I saw an immaculate, red fastback headed South on Peachtree Industrial Blvd today around 5:30PM. This thing appeared to be dead mint. Perfect paint. Who was that? BTW, I'm really enjoying my first Fiero. Got mine in June and I get compliments all the time. Even got a thumbs up from a Harley rider! Not too many cars can elicit a reaction from a biker.
-
I see 2 of them everytime go outside. There is a red 85 GT sitting in front of my house and a gold 86 GT in my yard blocked in.

The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.

Saw an 88 at the corner of Ponce De Leon and Commerce downtown Decatur today at lunch time.
Upon Closer inspection it turned out to be Jeff in his silver Formula. Exchanged a few quick words and then the light changed to green and he had to speed off.

Yesterday afternoon at 3:50 I saw a white stretched Zimmer (4-door) on Hwy 8 in Carl, Georgia. For those who don't know, Carl abuts Auburn. It looked to be in rough shape.
-
I saw this Fiero (photo attached) at the Caffeine & Octane show this morning.
It appears to have a split sunroof, stuck headlights, a bent antenna, and of course aftermarket wheels.
-
Yesterday, on I-75-85 southbound, in front of Grady hospital. Saw a bronze in color aero-notchie. (85 GT or 86-87 SE.)
Very nicely done. Was 4-5 lanes over from me, and flying low, so kind of difficult to see. ~3:50 PM
-
I saw this Fiero...
It appears to have a split sunroof.
Looks like T-tops to me.
-
On the way to work today, I saw a silver notchie, and took a picture with my phone. The car had a Walton County tag on it. (And no, his tail light is not burned out. He had his turn signal on, and the picture caught it on the off cycle.)
-
hmmm, hadn't seen that one before
-
Saw a silver notchie with a spoiler (like the one in the photo in the above listing) tonight aobut 9pm on 16th St turning into the Atlantic Station district. Didn't get a look at his tag, or a close look at the car at all.

He-he-he! I think if the T-tops had been on, the Rock's head would have popped them off at the first bump!
Mrs. FGTB (Ms. 70 Chevelle) has a good friend in Florida who is married to (now a former) police officer in Davie, Fla (a 'burb of Fort Lauderdale), who pulled over Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for a traffic stop a few years ago. The officer said it was the most scared he'd ever been (even though The Rock cooperated), thinking, "What if this guy decides to go wild on me?!!!"

Didn't know where else to post them...so I threw them in here. I think I need to slow down the shutter speed a bit, hard to believe we were doing 60+mph in those photos.

-
It looks a little like nadia2215's 86GT.

The owner of the black GT PM'ed me on Pennock's. He's registered as ridder654 there, but I couldn't find any posts from him. I invited him to our next meeting.

This movie, PAIN AND GAIN, comes out this Friday, April 26.
Incredibly, there is even one scene where all three stars (all of whom are pretty buffed up: Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Mark Wahlberg, and Anthony Mackie) are in the Formula at the same time! :-)

Probably the strangest use of a Fiero in an advertisement I've ever seen: This came up as I was searching for something totally unrelated today. From a law firm's blog, and I believe the Fiero is a model car that has actually been photoshopped into the picture!

It probably is a model car. The lower trim is black instead of silver. The GT was silver and the later SE's were black. Fiero GT is on the right rear tail light instead of the deck lid. The deck lid looks like it's partially up and twisted. The cutouts for the exhaust extend into the vertical face of the rear fascia. Actual exhaust cutouts were only in the lower surfaces of the fascia. There's also a strange black band that runs up the windshield post, across the edge of the top and frames the quarter window. This doesn't fit any lines of the notchback. It does look like it has a Florida license plate, though.

Wow, your eyes are better than mine... I was lucky to tell that it was a Fiero and red!

I've still got my 85GT and 86GT sitting outside.
-
We could all post every day of the ones we have sitting in our drive, but the intent of the thread is to list those we spot along the highways, parking lots and other person's driveways, a description and where they were spotted.
-
The guy who writes this blog lives in Atlanta. He happened to do a funny story based partly on a photo he took of a red convertible Fiero on the road. (Keep a thick skin guys and gals; it's all in fun...)
Anyone know the owner of the red convertible? I don't know if I would send them the link, but... ;- )

In Pasadena, St. Petersburg, Fl. yesterday in the side lot of Pasadena Car Care at the corner of Pasadena and 1st Ave. Been sitting there for a while, looks like.

A few of us were talking about some of the original Fiero television commercials after today's meeting, so I found a ton of them on YouTube when I got home: just go to YouTube.com and search for "Fiero commercials."

Last week saw a red notvhie on a trailer in Tallahassee, Fl. it looked pretty rough like it had been outside for a while. Saw a black notchie headed North on US 19 North of Albany. Saw mine in store front window as I passed.
-
Glad to see you're still around, Mike. Haven't washed away yet? BTW, did any of those Fieros have outboard motors attached?
-
Saw one last night while watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
-
Hey, PG. Welcome to our forum. There are a few Fieros out there in the movies, including our own TopNotch's 86SE in The Change Up, I think was the name of the movie.
Where are you located?
-
I live in the CSRA near Augusta. Believe it or not, I spotted a non-celluliod Fiero the next day in Martinez, GA. Right after my comment about living in a Fiero no mans land.
-
I saw a yellow notchback on Lawerenceville-Suwanee Road the other day, I wonder who that was.........
-
Wed up another club member today and he has an 87 GT that he's working on. The main body is red but the front fenders are white. He should have it finished soon he has all the body panels he needs.
-

Likely that would be me...Roger. '88 Formula
Were you the one blowing the horn? Like to have scared the you-know-what outta me!

At today's Caffeine & Octane car show.

Did you make contact with them and invite them to a meeting or RFTH? Nice looking car.
-
Nope, and I stood around waiting for the owner for at least 1/2 hour while I was talking to another guy about his '72 Road Runner. The Fiero owner never showed, and (blush) I didn't have any club cards on me!
This show gets better and bigger every month. Last month, and this month, they were approaching 2,000 vehicles if not more!!! Last record was June 2012 with 1,300 vehicles.

Today Linda and I were scouting restaurants in Dahlonega, and we saw a brown GT. We waved, but we were in her SUV, so if the driver was someone we know, I don't know if he recognized us.
-
Saw a red-notchback with a spoiler and two military guys (Army or Air Force) inside near Augusta, GA.
Surprised me.
-
Over Thanksgiving, drove from Augusta to Venice, FL, down the Tamiami Trail to Homestead and then to Key West. Came home via I-95 and I-16. Not one Fiero until my garage opened.
Then yesterday, saw a tan 2M4 turning in front of me as I left work.
The driver didn't seem to care there was another Fiero on the road.
-
I spotted a red notchie in Concord/Harrisburg area off 49 (Charlotte,Nc) today......just sitting there.....looking lonely.....
-
This is NOT how to trick out a Fiero. I don't care who you are.
-
my only question is "Why?" :'(
-
A yellow Notchie on Braselton Highway in Hog Mountain headed toward Hamilton Mill area. About 3-ish this afternoon.
-
hammer lane running west bound I20 mm189 near Augusta, Ga. Black notchie.
Edited to load a better pic
-
Saw a red fastback on Washington Rd new Flowing Wells on Monday.
-
Might have seen the same red fastback today on Oakley Pirkle Road near Westmont Elementary. However, it looked like it was in better condition than the one on Washington Rd.
-
Augusta is becoming Fiero Heaven. Saw another one today on Bel Air at Cox & Gibbs. Garnet (I'm an FSU fan, so it's not just dark red) notch back.
-
Saturday during the scouting run, one of the guys saw a silver fastback sitting in a yard somewhere in the back country between Boone and Burnsville, NC. Then after we left Burnsville, I spotted a black 86 or 87 GT headed northbound on I-26 just north of Asheville.

I saw a few Saturday.

Scott, Randy, Ray and I caught these on US 411 in Madisonville, Tn. today. Then just down the road about a thousand feet was another that looked like a pale flat green bumper pad, sitting in the lot of a garage or repair shop.
-
I didn't see it, but someone else did. I had to go to Cleveland, Ga. after church today. Decided to drive the Lil Duke Coupe. As I exited I-985 at US 129 North and got to the light at the end of the ramp, I heard a horn toot. I looked over to my left and a lady, maybe in her mid 70's at least, was sitting there with 2 thumbs up, mouthing "I like your car." As we made the left and got to the next light, she had rolled down the window and was yelling "I like your Fiero!"
Kind of brightened up an otherwise sad day.
-
There I was in Wilkes-Barre, PA (NEPA) on Saturday when I spotted a black '85(?) parked in a yard. Looked good. However, my wife, mother, two daughters, aunt, and sister would not have appreciated stopping to take a look at it...
Checked Craigslist while I was up there. Fieros are not cheap in NEPA.
-
If i saw one in a movie, does that count? I watched a movie this weekend. There is a red formula with t-tops that the main character drives around in "Pain and Gain" at one point, there was three body builders in the car, driver, passenger, and one on the saddle.

Speaking of Fieros in Movies: a friend sent me this online database today, and of course the first thing I looked up was "Pontiac Fiero," to see how many were cataloged as appearing in movies and TV shows: 161!

Wrong stars. My car was in "The Change Up" starring Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds. The main Fiero in the movie was a red 88 Formula, and on the set they had two of them. I heard that the set crew (young guys) trashed both of them (hard driving) after the movie was done.
-
Does Anybody Know Who Owns A Red Formula ?
I Have Seen It Twice Now.
The First Time It Was Going Down Lawrenceville Hwy.
Today It Was At The Stop Light At Lawrenceville / Swanee,
And Old Norcross.
-
There was a guy out here near Roger, named Michael Barr that owned one. Not to be confused with our Mike Barr. Soon as he got it fixed, he sold it to someone locally. It was a T-top. Bright red, not maroon.
-
That Was Probably It.
-
I see two Fieros every time I go out.
-
Blue 87 notchback, 2.5 with a 5-speed, gray interior in the Lance Auto Parts junk yard in Lawrenceville. It came in yesterday and will be crushed on Friday.
-
Spotted today on US 78 between Snellville and Stone Mountain, headed West. Obviously a repaint and probably not an 88 due to the early style lace wheels. Nice looking. Also on board the carrier was a Barracuda and a Buick Grand Sport. The carrier was loaded with classics. I was really focused on the Fiero and only remembered a couple of the other cars.
-
I spotted an 84 flying in Augusta today. Hmph.
-
I spotted an 84 flying in Augusta today. Hmph.
It must not have an engine -- the front is hanging down.
-
What in the world were they doing with it? And looking at the lack of deflection in the top, I think that really says something for the safety and integrity of the space frame. Even without an engine, that's still about 2400 lbs hanging on the roof.
-
Back to the FUTURE!
-
It was about 3100 lbs and i was lifting it to put into the workshop.....we don't have a ramp. It's a parts car and i wanted to lift it with the chain fall.......just because. ;D
-
It was about 3100 lbs
600 pounds of dead skin and dust mites. ;)

Saw a red 86 GT going south on 92, just south of Brownsville Rd, last Thursday, I believe it was.
-
I spotted a silver gt, not sure if it's a notchie or a fastback, heading east on us80 in between Savannah and Tybee island this last Saturday (labor day weekend). It caught me of guard i got so excited pointed it out that my wife and kids had to shout me down to acknowledge that they'd seen it too! ha ha :D

This is more of a someone else spotted a Fiero today:
This evening a guy stopped in front of my house and offered to buy my Fiero. He's a Realtor who was on his way to an appointment and saw my car in the garage. Knew it was an '88 just by looking at it. Knew the white and gold one was an '87 just by the color combo. Etc, etc, etc.
-
I hope you told him about the club!
-
Sent him links and everything.

Yeah, the paint job might be from '95. Did the sign say 3k or 300?

Granny, that was referring to the cup holder on the passenger side of the console. But $3000?
Ron and Paul, thanks for taking the time to come over and meet with us. I wish we had more time to spend with you. Yeah, the paint job might be from '95. Did the sign say 3k or 300?
I spoke to the guy in the Pawnshop the Fiero was parked by, he said they'd take $2100. This is before I walked over to the car. He also said it works but is way too small.
Funny, I stood over a head taller than him ;)

At 5:30 PM today, I spotted a blue 86GT, 4-speed, Custom 16 inch wheels, Mr. Mike's interior, 3.4 crate engine with Rodney's stainless vacuum lines at the Wal-Mart Superstore on Hwy 8 in Winder, Ga. How do I know so much about it? At one time I owned it.

Saturday, in front of the O'Reilly's store on Fairburn Rd in Douglasville. Saw a bright red 86 GT. Think it was the same one I saw for sale up near Hiram, a few months ago. Nice car.

I saw an Indy on the McFarland rd bridge over 400 yesterday.

This morning at 9:50, I saw a white 86 or 87 GT on I-85 Southbound at Jimmy Carter Blvd. It had a red stripe around the body just above the ground effects. Gwinnett County license plate.

Drove from Augusta to New Orleans and back and didn't see one Fiero. :(

Burgundy 86 gt. Stalked him to a parking lot and directed him towards the club. He's had it since 16yrs old and he's now starting grad school.

That's the way to do it, Ron. There are so many people out there that don't realize there are clubs to help them find parts and services at an affordable price. They get frustrated and junk or sell the cars. Clubs aren't just for socializing and activities.

The guy you stalked works with the guy at AutoZone who put keyless in my '88. Saw the car at AutoZone today. Didn't meet the driver.

Two Fieros in 30 minutes!
Saw Eric's Fiero on Belair Rd around 5:30 while driving to Best Buy.
At Best Buy, there's only one in Augusta, I spotted a red '88 at a stoplight. Looked just like mine.
-
Today about 4:30 I spotted a burnt orange or bittersweet Fiero with a white nose and right front fender pulling onto Hwy 8 between Carl and Winder. Pulled over and tried to get him to stop, but I had to run him down. It's an 86SE 2m6, automatic and in pretty decent condition. Invited him to come to our next meeting and to join us on the BBQ run. Hope he will.

I found Barney!
On my way to Cheddar's I spotted this Fiero parked in a yard only a few miles from my house.
I love Fieros, Fieros love me, we're as happy as can be...

I found Barney!
Well... THAT'S different. Not bad.

This afternoon about 1:30 I saw an 84 or 85 bumperpad headed northbound on I-85 in Gwinnett County at the Ga. 316 exit. It had different wheels and had been repainted 87/88 maroon, including the bumper pads. It had a pair of fog lights mounted in the front and Gwinnett County license plates.
-
This weekend, I saw a white bumperpad car in front of Domino's Pizza on Hwy 92. From what I saw it looked to be in really decent condition. I didn't have any cards with me, or I would have left one.
-
Last Thursday evening saw what looked to be a black fastback GT going north on Roswell Rd at the corner of Roswell and Dalrymple/Riverside
-
Going home from work, one day last week, I got behind a red 86 GT (maybe the same one I posted about before) and followed it right past tntcarey's house. (No, it wasn't him.) We turned in opposite directions on Burnt Hickory Rd.
I didn't try to flag him down or anything. I was in my G6. He'd have just thought I was nuts.
-
Today I followed a young woman to the Chick-fil-A on Sugarloaf Parkway at Ga. Hwy 316 in Lawrenceville. She was driving a black 85GT. Caught up to her while she was waiting in the drive-thru, gave her a club card and asked if I could talk with her when she got her order. She got her food and pulled up beside us and we talked for a bit. She said her husband had gotten rid of a Mustang and got the Fiero. He also had a Pontiac Formula and had previously owned several Fieros. Invited them to come to a club meeting.
-
Saw a Garnet GT parked in front of a house in Lexington, SC (Hear that SC Mike?) near the intersection of Hamlin and Dreher. About 2 or 3 houses in on Hamlin.
-
Right after turning left out of my neighborhood, I saw a bright red notchie ('88?) going the other direction past my neighborhood.
Near intersection of Brandywine & Hereford Farm Rd...
-
What the What?! Wasn't me! Did you get a tag nombre? Oh wait, I know what happened....a truck hauling mirrors drove past, just as you turned your head and looked....that's probably what happened. Yeah, that's it.
-
Considered that, but mines not a notchie.
And I was driving a Mustang.
-
White fastback gt turning off Walton way onto hwy 1 in Augusta, Ga about 5p today!
-
I live 3 miles east of I-75 on SR20 between Cartersville and canton and Monday my wife and I were on the way home heading east on 20 and along comes a silver notchback with the front painted bright purple that faded from purple in the front to silver as you get to the back edge of the doors. couldn`t stop and chase as the wife was driving.

Outside Milledgeville Lowes. Anyone know this Fiero?
Left a card in the drivers side door to keep it out of the rain.

BTW, probably an employee based on how far out the car was parked.

I as at the fall rod runs in Pigeon Forge Thursday through Sunday. I saw one black one fastback with no wing going the opposite direction. Since most people just cruise up the strip and turn around. I pulled onto a lot and waited for anout an hour. never saw it again.
I did have to tell several people what kind of car mine was.
-
Saw a red gt in the cumming steak & shake drive through Saturday evening. Hood & nose were in gray primer. Hadnt seen that car before
-
I see 2 everyday. Scott.

I just spotted one in Augusta at an upholstery shop downtown! Gonna try to contact the owner. It was raining and i didn't have a baggie to leave a note on his car.

-
Nice wheels too.
-
Just heard this one might be in our pull a part here in Augusta. :(
-
There's an 86 that was put there 3 days ago. The one you picture isn't an 86. At least, I don't think they made a bumper pad in 86.
-
86s had either bumper pads (base) or aero (SE). You don't see many bumper pads since most 86s were SEs or GTs.
The base cars got the Formula nose, starting in 87.
-
Yes, it appears to be one and the same. Here's some pics.

-
I grabbed the headliner, visors, shifter, shift and select cables, coolant recovery bottle, and tail lights.
Looks like the carpet is good (black), passenger seat and drivers seat aren't bad. They're some kind of vinyl, or leather. There's a rub hole in the drivers side seat in the lumbar. 85mph guages. Smells good inside....not like mold or like it's been sitting.
-
Some other things I see that are worth getting are the recall weather strip and clips on the deck lid, the slave cylinder, which will work on V6 4-speeds, and the center caps from those 13 inch turbine wheels. There have been some requests from time to time on PFF for those center caps.
If it has a release solenoid for the trunk, the Fastback Formula needs one. Also, if that dash isn't cracked and the knee-knocker vents aren't broken, I'll pay you to get it. The steering wheel, if it's in good shape is a good replacement for the paddle style steering wheels. At least the center horn button is worth getting if it's not buckled.
-
What about the steering column for the fastback Formula club car?
-
WOW! WHAT A DAY FOR FIERO SPOTTING!
In addition to the one in the junkyard,
Gold gt on a trailer behind a moving van running south on I-95 in Florence Sc,
And a white notchie northbound i-95 mm40 running hot into Fayette-nam.
-
What about the steering column for the fastback Formula club car?
The picture makes it look like a non-tilt column. I can't yell for sure.
-
What about the steering column for the fastback Formula club car?

ooops. Yeah. You're right.
-
What's wrong with a non-tilt column? Seems like it would be a safe bet?
-
Its difficult for tall and fat people to get out and in.
-
Oh
-
The little Duke Coupe had a non-tilt when I got it. It was hard to get my legs in between the seat and bottom of the wheel. Maybe I have my tilt columns raised up, I don't know, but I have no problems with them.
I've never measured the length. It could be that the tilt column is longer, therefore the wheel isn't sitting as close to the front edge bolster of the seat.
-
;)Cry baby
-
Dashboard in salvage car is cracked/missing foam. The vents around the knee-catchers appeared in good shape. I can grab those and the recall weather stripping.
One thing, though.....it's not a Muncie 4speed. It looks weird compared to mine.
Honestly, i can't figure out why it's in the salvage yard. The motor appeared good. Not fiddled with too much and clean. No oil in the tailpipe. Is it possible to bring a car back from the wrecking yard once it's in?
-
If it's an 86, it should have an Isuzu 5 speed. Both cables come in from the top, but at a higher (steeper?) angle than the Muncie.
-
Must be. Both are from the top and much higher angle than my Muncie. The slave doesn't look like it will fit
-
I don't need the vents, but someone might. The weatherstrip seal for the decklid could be installed on the Formula. Every time I start it, I have to watch for smoke from smoldering leaves on the manifold.
That's an Isuzu 5-speed transmission. It used the same slave cylinder as the 85 and 86 Muncie. The 84 Muncie had an entirely different slave that was used by no other Fiero. You said you got the cables from it, but the cable to transmission mount would be a worthwhile grab, also. You can pop in an 85 Toyota MR2 rebuild kit into the slave and you've got the double seal slave. Cost about $7.00.
-
I forgot a couple of things. If it has delay wipers, and it looks like it does, the circuit board from the motor is a good grab.
The other thing was your question about buying a whole car from the yard. Once it's on the Pull-A-Part yard, it leaves only to go to the crusher. I've already asked at one of the yards down here, and they said they don't sell whole cars.
-
Red notchie automatic in the parking lot at work.
Fieros, it's a movement.
-
Silver notchie parked in a yard south of Millen on the south-bound side of US 25. Just south of Old Gip Rd.
We're everywhere.

Beautiful bright red notchie with NC plates on Washington Road in Martinez heading towards Augusta.
Traffic was too thick to catch up. :(

I saw 2 pitiful specimens yesterday on hwy 78 just west of Rayle. Looks like they have been sitting in the woods for a while.
-
Those in Rayle have been abandoned for at least three years that I know of. I've never had an occasion to drive back up that way to check them out closer. I've got a co worker that keeps telling me they're there......waiting........rotting........crying.........

They are pitiful looking

Anyone near Elberton wanna give the place a call?
I called,
Craig, the owner, said he rescued it from a buddy's field. It runs and drives. He knows it's an Indy, but wants to cut it up anyway for the drive train for another (very cool) project. Basically, he wants the running motor, manual gearbox and cradle. He'd be interested in a running manual cradle setup in trade (not sure if that's straight up or partial). He said he's open to the idea of keeping it intact.
One thing that got my attention was that he said he'll scrap the ecm and go carburated. That will be interesting.
-
ThaDriver might be interested in a trade. He has several cradle setups. Tell Craig to give me a call. Give him my number.

There I was in Dublin (VA) munching on a sausage & egg biscuit when a reflection caught my attention. Flat deck with luggage rack, thin taillights, low to the ground, etc. I turned around, and lo-and-behold, there sat a silver, 2m4, auto, notchie in the parking lot.
Interesting, the passenger side window had tape on it in the same place dealers put their prices.
-
Strange how the senses are always multi-tasking. The mind is spaced out with the indescribably delicious taste of the meal and at the same time, searching for Fieros. And women say we have a one-track-mind. Good catch.
The tape was there to stick a club business card on. Need more?

I drove my gold 86GT today and put gas in it. Now I have a half of a tank of gas in it plus a new battery from AutoZone.
-
My gold Fiero still runs great. Now to go drive it again.

'84 2M4. Yellow-Green. Sunroof with Fiero symbol decal on the hood. Found it on my desk this morning still in the original Hot Wheels package. ;)
Saw the '88 GT Warrior Project car in Grovetown yesterday. Looks good.
-
Silver 2m4 on Wimbledon Dr in Augusta. Took me by surprise, actually didn't see it at first... my kids pointed it out. My little boy got a powty face and when asked why, he answered he's sad because it feels like someone stole my car. I guess it's part of the family now.
I'll go back after mine's running and leave a card if nobody home.
-
On Saturday, on the way to Blue Ridge...
First major intersection near my house, a white bumperpad coupe (think it was an 84) turned at the light, going in my direction (north) on 92. I finally caught up with him and followed for a bit, but he never apparently noticed that I was behind him. He turned off, going another direction.
-
Saw a beautiful silver '88 GT driving towards me as I headed home from work earlier this week.
The I realized it was Barry and the Warrior Project car. Looked good!
Passing waves. 8)
-
Last week, a silver or gray primered Fiero sitting at MAACO on W. Broad, Hwy 78 in Athens. Was in a hurry and running too fast to be sure of the color or to stop to leave a card.
Edit: Discovered it was Ronnie and Carolyn's 3800SC GT.

Saw 27? 28? 29? Fieros at the Fieros Forever Museum in Sanford Michigan. ;D

White GT, on the ramp from Steve Reynolds to I-85 South. I stopped to see if I could help...

The owner was named Richard Chin (I think, sorry if I got that wrong). He lives in Lawrenceville (small world), but had no idea that there was a Georgia Fiero Club. He had electrical problems (radio cut out, and then car died), and was waiting for a tow truck. I was driving my wife's car and didn't have my tools.
I told him about our meeting, but he also owns a TVR (British sports car), and there's a British sports car meet that same day, so he may not come.
-
Did you get or give any contact info so we might help him?
-
Did you get or give any contact info so we might help him?
No, I wasn't thinking too clearly with all that traffic going by (he was in the gore between the ramp and the highway). But I wrote "gafiero.org" on a piece of paper he had, and our email link is there.
-
Nice picture.
Amazing how good a Fiero looks, even with it's deck raised.
-
I did an anywho.com search for chin , chen, and ching for lawrenceville with no returns. Also on fb for last name and got hundreds of returns, but nothing indicating lawrenceville, or profile picture that looked like him. Maybe he'll contact us since he's active in other car clubs.

This site (http://atlantabritishcarfayre.com/) shows a "British Car Fayre" on September 10. I guess that is what he was talking about.

Saw a Fiero, last night. Not on the road, but on TV. I was watching a Fox 5 segment on the 10PM news about the Gaddy Family Christmas Lights Display in Fayette County. Toward the end, a number of vehicles were shown driving along, viewing the lights. A dark colored, looked like black, Fiero with a white racing stripe was at the rear. Looked a little like a Formula, but could have been a base coupe. The picture lapsed into the next scene, but it definitely had the nose and square headlights of a Formula. The headlights were raised but turned off with the parking lights still on. Had fog lights. Custom wheels, too. Not the stock lace.

Silver GT on Hereford Farm Rd near the intersection of Gibbs & Owens.
So surprised to see it I couldn't tell if it was fastback or notchie.

-
That's an interesting story. Quite a man.
There was a similar Fiero incident one year when a couple from New York was returning from either Daytona or RFTH and hydroplaned beside an 18-wheeler. They ended up under the trailer with the passenger side against the trailer wheels, being dragged up the interstate. The wife was splattered with some glass, but I believe they were otherwise unscathed. The driver didn't know it until another motors flagged him down and he stopped. Strong little cars. Gave Curtis some extra time here.

Yesterday morning about 9:10 am, I saw a very nice bright red 84 or 85 notchback with bumper pads painted body color, like Ron768's. It was on I-85 Southbound, just south of the Jimmy Carter Blvd. exit.
-
While on vacation I saw, not 1, not 2, but 3 Fieros (Fieri?).
One was a cheat, since I saw the '84 Indy in Elberton last year when we all met in Toccoa. It's still in the same place. However, it has been joined by a silver Fiero with a wrecked front. The friendly junk yard dogs prevented me from getting close enough to be more precise and my photos stunk.
The third Fiero was a beautiful gold fastback GT with a black racing stripe on 441 in GSMNP in North Carolina. Think it was Wednesday. Anyone know the owner?
-
Not exactly today, but here's one:

There, one from me. I doubt you'll see this one, so far away, but the owner has been off-roading this poor Fiero. I spoke with him, and this Fiero is being abused. No cap on the coolant reservoir, low on oil, which hasn't been changed, and all the window seals leak.
-
Looks like mine!
-
Ha, ha. Yours looks WAY better than that one!
-
Lol! Whatever's! Mine's been drug through Memphis several times. I KNOW that's considered off-roading for sure, along with most of Mississippi roads in the north part of their state. I can't see out the windows from all the dust just driving ten miles or more. I guess I'm pampered in Georgia.
-
Don't forget. I've seen pics of yours. Dust cleans off.
-
Under the dust are deep smudges.....where I lay on the hood. ...all the time.

MSN has decided to post a picture of a Fiero: http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/motorcycles/50-ways-to-save-your-life/ar-BBA0MHp (http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/motorcycles/50-ways-to-save-your-life/ar-BBA0MHp)

Haven't read the article, but I'm guessing #1 is drive a Fiero.
#2 is hit a Fiero if you need to hit something...

X-Files, Season 2 - Sleepless. Red Notchie
-
On the way back from picking up Tegan we spotted an orange 86SE turning into Tractor supply so we made a U-turn and went back. I had caught him a year or so ago but then the car disappeared. I am familiar with the car, it having been owned by former member AntMunch.
Again I invited him to come to our meetings. Hope he takes me up on it this time.
-
That wasnt me

Around 5PM, Silver fastback on Washington Road heading toward Belair. Wasn't the Warrior Project car.
-
Medium blue notchie with plywood over the windshield in Raysville, GA.
Raysville is all the location you need since only one road goes through.
-
A nice yellow GT, on a new TV commercial for Letgo, it has several monks doing thier meditation in the woods when a pine cone (I think) falls on the car and sets off the alarm
-
I saw that commercial twice. car looks nice why letgo?
-
I saw that ad too but no contact info and it's not on letgo.
-
Just like a good job that's already filled before it's posted, probably sold it to his nephew.
-
I saw a nice red Formula, parked between 2 Corvettes. No pic.
-
Saw a silver fastback GT on I-20 inbound, on the west side, yesterday morning.
No wing. Aftermarket wheels. Mississippi plates.
-
'Tis the season.
Saw this one today:

Burnt orange metallic paint job. Clearly a mask-and-spray job. Lots of overspray (dew wipes, antenna, belt trim, etc), but no runs or thin spots, and the surface seems to have been prepped well. The black ground effects don't look so good. The paint may have been the wrong type of paint.
The windows have tint film. The shift knob (manual) is chrome aftermarket, with black trim. The left fender is pushed in and cracked by the side marker.
Dual exhaust, but no stickers. The sail panels seem to have been painted black. It looked as if there were cheap seat covers in use. The side emblems and the front emblem insert were missing (but it was mostly painted over). I'd suspect a V6. The belt trim is grooved.
Didn't meet the owner or take a closer look.
-
Well yes. Yes, I have.
Today, I saw a white '87 GT broken down on the side of the road. It was on the right shoulder, and I was at highway speed, 3 lanes over, in heavy traffic. I turned around, but it was almost 10 miles to get back to him, with the exit distances and the divided highway. This divided highway is about 30 feet above the ground, with each direction on a different flyover.
The kid was in a bad spot, right as you top the hill, just before an entrance ramp, and where the right lane ended. The shoulder was very narrow.
By the time I got to him, there were 2 COP cars behind him, giving him a bad time about where he was parked. They didn't say a word about my truck, but didn't seem inclined to let me by, until I told them I was a Fiero guy, which somehow made it OK.
This Fiero had aftermarket wheels on it, sequential LED rear turn signals, LED tail and brake lights, and BTR headlights. The intake and valve covers were painted black and leaking oil. The dogbone had been replaced with polyester. It had an aftermarket sunroof and head unit, and someone put a subwoofer in place of the center console. The drip rails were damaged, the truck seal was in tatters, and the rear GT emblem was cracked. It had aftermarket leatherette or vinyl covers on the seats. The glove box was black.
The brake master cylinder had the plastic cover popped open. It seemed that the reservoir was overfilled, but the cover would not snap closed.
The paint looked nice. A few scratches, but no chips, fading, or clearcoat peel. He plans to paint the entire car white...at MAACO. I recommended fixing the leaking sunroof, and the oil and idle issues first. The quarter windows were in perfect condition, but no evidence of green tint, so probably replacements. The tail lights were delaminated, but no chips, cracks, or yellowing.
Apparently, the car sat for a few years before he bought it. It has about 86K on it, now.
This was a 4-speed. Someone installed drilled and slotted rotors.
The car idles very rough. He said he replaced the ignition coil, but I suspect vacuum, spark, or the IAC.
When I got there, he was trying to jack the car up to replace a destroyed read tire. He had no idea about the coolant tubes. I showed him the jack diagram, and made sure he got the car jacked up safely. We used a piece of wood to chock a front wheel. I didn't have any hex wrenches to get the centercap off, nor did he, but the roadside assist guy did. Then, the lug wrench wouldn't fit between the nuts and the wheel. Lots of fun, but the spare is on, and he's on his way.
Nice kid. I mentioned Fierorama to him. We'll see. He did ask about some other events.
EDIT: I did tell him where he could get the trunk seal, the drip rails, the GT emblem, and a replacement side marker, as well as LED side markers.
-
Good on ya'. I'm sure your assistance was appreciated.
-

I believe I saw this one again today. I'll post a pic later, but it was about 10 miles from where I saw it last, heading away. I was in the left lane, and he was in the right lane, but he kept up for 10 or so miles. We both changed highways at the same exit, then I exited, and he continued.
-
Here's the pic. Young guy driving.
-
Here's one I saw this morning, on the way to work. I haven't seen it before. It was there on the way home, so I'll stop by.

It looks like an '86 SE with a Formula nose. The paint on the hood has lost its clearcoat.
-
I stopped by. Nobody home. Grooved trim. GT wheels. Most of the paint looks good. Only the hood and roof look poorly. The decklid looks good. The interior bezels and armrests are red. It has an aftermarket shifter for the automatic transmission. One of the arrow trim pieces is missing. The Fiero is registered as an historic vehicle. I believe that takes a while, like personalized plates.
-
The silver ground effects says it's an 85GT. 86 and 87 lower trim was dark coior. Black or charcoal. Decklid would say Fiero GT for an 85, 2m4 of 2m6 for 86 and 87.
-
Sail panels show SE. No decals on deck lid, IIRC.
I went by a second time. Car in the driveway, but no answer. The Fiero is a V6.
-
A Frankenstein Fiero.
-

Its more likely they replaced the sails and nose than all the ground effects and related panels.
-

True, and it certainly isn't a repaint. Someone did a lot of work on the interior, though. The entire center console is painted red.
-
I take that back about the repaint. It IS a repaint. Very odd. I saw this Fiero again today. It has been moved to the driveway, but still no answer at the door. No decal on the decklid.
-
Jefferson, Georgia. 1985 SE 2m6. Automatic, grey interior, spotless with no buckling. Power mirrors. Original black paint with the top just beginning to show some damage. Luggage rack. Aftermarket chrome 5-spokes but the owner still has the immaculate original wheels and the original radio stored away. Only 47,000 miles.
-
Well, I saw this one (http://www.corvettecapital.com/1988-Pontiac-Fiero-Formula-St.-Charles-Missouri-63303/6207816). It's a red '88 Formula. This place has probably 3 Fieros a year for sale. None for under $10,000. Sometimes the Fieros are there for several months.
You can still see it here (http://gafieroclub.org/pics/pip/tshark/1988 Pontiac Fiero Formula St Charles Missouri Schroeder Motors.pdf)
-
Nice to see Fieros selling(?) for over $10,000.
-
Saw a silver notchie with a red front corner panel in Elberton drive by while I was eating a sundae. Both headlights were popped-up.
(Won't mention the cool silver '85 GT with great wheels I saw yesterday on Riverwatch in Augusta)
-
On Friday, I saw a black notchie heading South on I-55.
-
I saw a silver 86SE on Georgia Hwy 316 westbound, University Parkway at Hwy 11 at about 3:35 today. Red left front fender. Ran him down and talked with him a while. Driver says he's from Eatonton, Ga. and the car belongs to a lady friend. Invited him to the website and a meeting.
-

I'm not familiar with the geography, but could this be the same one Fierofool saw?
-
I believe they are the same. Both headlights up. He was back up here to replace the alternator on his truck that was somewhere on the side of Ga. Hwy 316. Elberton is about 75 miles South.
-
Well, perhaps it'll appear again, about the 16th of October.
-
Nice to see Fieros selling(?) for over $10,000.
It sold. It was a nice Fiero.
-
I finally spotted one!
A black notchie on I-85 Northbound in South Carolina at 9am, about mile marker 93. Sounded good! Kinda hard to garner his attention while driving a rented black ford expedition tho.

Nah. Easy to get his attention. Play chicken, or drive right up on his rear bumper.
-
I saw 2 Fieros today. The first one was a red notchie waiting to make a left from Mid Rivers North onto I-70W, around 11:50am. The second one was also a notchie heading East. It had gotten onto i-270E from McDonnell. This was 2-tone red, and had no plates. The driver of this Fiero was weaving from one lane to another, at one point passing cars on the shoulder, then cutting off some cars getting off at an exit when he cut 2 lanes to the left. At one point, all 3 stopped on the shoulder. He was with 2 other non-Fieros. This was about 4:50pm.
The first Fiero looked rather nice. It was bright red, with possible black ground effects. I didn't get a good look.
-
I saw 2 Fieros today. The first one was a white notchie next to a house, behind a fence along the highway. The second Fiero was in a bunch of weeds in a trailer park. A white bumperpad.
Both were North of I-44, a few miles West of Eureka.
-
On the way home from work today. 3:30-4:15 PM time frame.
I-20 west bound, between I-285 and Douglasville. Saw a really pretty red 88 GT. Thought it might be pgackerman, but probably not.
-
Nope, not me or my car.
-
I saw one. A white GT. It looked sortof familiar...
-
Yup. A silver notchie with a tarp over the roof. The Fiero was in someone's yard beside the Will Rogers Turnpike. On the South side.
-
Fiero GTB reported seeing a bright yellow notchback in Atlanta in the vicinity of 17th Street or Atlantic Station in the last week or so. TopNotch, was that you?

Not me. I wonder how many "lost" Fieros are out there. (Lost, because they're not in the club.)
-
I did see a Fiero today. It's a gold notchie. The owner has oversize tires on it. The headlights appear to have been removed, along with the rear pumper cover, but it does have plates on it. He's using it to go mudding. Apparently, it's some sort of race through muddy trails.
-
I see mine every day sitting in my back yard :'(
-
It (2017), 86 or 87 Garnet GT parked in a background driveway. Appeared to be raised up; probably so it could handle Maine snow.
-
Red se notchback on Netflix. "Haters back off" season 1, episode 2. Sold for 500bucks on accident.
-
Honestly, I didn't see one; I saw several, and it was yesterday, not today. Anyway, I saw a white Formula, a black Formula, a yellow GT, a black notchie, a white notchie, and a red notchie.
-
I saw this one:
-
That's Bob from Capital City Fieros (Michigan). Where did you see him?
-
In front of the hotel. He has a good memory; he remembers me with hair. My hair and I parted ways years ago.
-
During my week-long trip to Michigan and back I saw one Fiero in Ohio and another in Michigan.
Interestingly, at least to me, I saw two Pontiac Sunfire convertibles. One in Ohio with the top down and the other in Michigan; by the Gilmore Auto Museum in Kalamazoo. Pics of the museum are coming soon.
-
Back the Fiero choo-choo up! You went to Michigan again? I thought that was a year or so ago.
-
in-laws.
-
At least they're close.
-
I didn't see one in person, but while watching Channel 5 Good Day Atlanta this morning, there was a report of a woman being randomly attacked and beaten at a service station in Buckhead. The husband of the victim happened to spot the suspect later in the afternoon, less than a mile away. The reporter was interviewing people in the parking lot where the suspect was located, and in the middle of the parking lot was Richard Chen's 86GT with the Advance Auto Parts store where he works, in the background.
-
Sortof. I saw what looks like a black notchback about 3:14 in. I looked online, and there is only mention of a Fiero at the end of the movie. Maybe the same one.
This one is parked. It doesn't have GrandAm or lace wheels, but Ixve seen them on a Fiero previously. This appears to be a base model with few options.
-
More details. Saw a black notchie in what?
-
Sorry. Turner and Hootch. My bad.
-
Also a red aero Fiero at 1:34:41, also in Turner and Hooch.
-
I saw a 2-tone white and silver Formula.
-
Yesterday, silver notchie heading south on US Rt 23, just north of Ann Arbor, MI.

Can't be mine. I took it to work today.

Not me but Larry the Bampton rat went to some of mad Max type show today and saw a Fiero!! I have NEVER bumped into a Fiero on my travels so this was very impressive.
He only knew it was a Fiero as written on the plenum.
Probably just as well I can't post pictures as it is basically in a mad Max style!!
-
Could it have been a Jalapeño Fiero?

-
Haas neat. No, it was a naked Fiero with lots of strange additions welded to the chassis, not pretty!
-
Posted for PK, as seen by Larry the Bampton Rat.

-
Thank you very much for posting for me GTRS. It should probably contain info to look away now if of a nervous disposition!
Bit of a sorry state but used for a festival along with a whole troop of ve-hickles. Larry the Bampton Rat does the sound/light and fire display in the evening and only realised this was a Fiero when he took the enjun pic (I obviously haven't trained him well enough yet).
Some vehicles has fantastic engineering.... The Fiero not so much!!
-
No idea about the straw behind the instrument cluster.
-
The only neg I see is that it's an automatic. :D :D :D
-
No worries about the chain dangling in the cabin area?
-
No worries about the chain dangling in the cabin area?
Seatbelt.
-
Chain link chain seatbelts pinch. They are also more prone to causing damage to the human body during accidents. The flat seatbelt straps we use seem to be excellent for their purpose.
-
I thought the chain was a pull chain for the interior light. ;D
-
Yes. Without giving too much detail, it had a 3400 DOHC, red leather seats, larger wheels. The owner insisted it was all stock. I point out some items that were clearly not stock. Without hesitation, the owner responded that the items were clearly stock AND original. After some discussion, he slyly stated that they were originally from another car.
-
New Years Day, Wilkes County on Rt 78 near mile marker 2. In someone's... semi-flooded yard... with about 15 other cars.
Silver notchie.
-
I saw a notchie on 12/23. Under a car cover. Actually only about 30 miles from me. Does not participate in any Fiero stuff.
-
Silver Notchie in Summerville suburb of Augusta on Walton Way Extension.
-
While on the way to work (I-85 South), I heard a horn beep, and looked over and saw a red notchie a couple of lanes to the left of me (I was about to exit). There was too much sun glare to get a real good look, but it appeared to be a 87-88 coupe style, possibly a Formula. I gave him a beep back, but soon lost him.
-
Not really seen, but mentioned in a Hagerty article.

Pat, that may have been Richard in his Formula.
-
Yep. Sure thing.

No one around. I waited for a bit, but no one showed up.
It looks to have died, and coasted there.

Here's one:

No idea who this is.
I'll resize the images later.

Maybe I saw a Fiero. A guy told me he had a 1983 Fiero, one of the first made. I looked at it. Whatever it was, it now has a 1990's Firebird interior, complete with back seats. The complete interior. It has a power sunroof.
It has a carb'd V8 behind the rear seats. The rear is a hatch, with a glass panel.
The front compartment looks somewhat Fiero. The battery is in front, but not the radiator.
It's rotted to the ground, so I could not see under it. It has maybe ATV radiators in the rear. The fuel fill is in the front.
The guy claims that it did run. Looking at it, I'm not sure it ran in the last 20 years.
-
Saw an all gold Fiero fastback at the maaco on canton rd in marietta
-
I dont know if there was a gold one there but there sure was a metalic red one.
-
I dont know if there was a gold one there but there sure was a metalic red one.
The gold one the one I saw looked so bad I hope it's metallic red now.... ;)
-
I encountered this guy at a gas station. He was interested in joining a club, but didn't know of any.

Obviously, the luggage rack had been removed, but the holes were not plugged. I could stick my finger into the holes. It is a 4-cylinder, despite the Fiero GT logo, but is is an '85. The wheels and tires are non-stock. The seats have black leather down the center, but cloth on the sides, such as the bolsters. The glove box and door map pockets do not have any Fiero logos on them. The car has a 3-spoke steering wheel, with the Fiero emblem. There is a hood scoop, but it brings air into the spare tire compartment. I don't know what's wrong with the sunroof, but it has a lot of extra rubber pieces, and the wind deflector is non-stock. The exhaust tips had been replaced, one of which is decorative. Obviously the spoiler is non-stock.
It's an automatic.
The paint looks terrible, but he plans to change the rear clip to a fastback, and then show the car.
He was telling me some of the things he's done to the car. Apparently, all warping was fixed by securing the warp in place with a screw. This included the door panel, at the top rear.
It's on the road, being driven, so that counts for something.
-
Saw an 85 GT in Pt Pleasant West VA -- Home of the Mothman on my way to Michigan.
Saw an 87 GT just north of Ann Arbor on my way back.

While on my way to a client's place, I thought I saw a Fiero, but I was running behind schedule. Not late, just behind where I wanted to be. Anyway, I continued, and parked. This particular place is near a restaurant, and I parked in a public lot. Parking is always difficult, so I had to run to the client's place.
When I finished, I walked back to my truck. A Fiero was parked near me. As luck would have it, the owner was eating on the patio nearby, and came over to speak with me. The first words out of his mouth were, "No, you didn't used to know anyone who had one with a V8..."

Saw a white GT today on my way home from work.
Gave him the thumbs-up.
Saw the neighborhood he turned into. Guess I'll be taking the long way home for awhile.
-
Saw a dark red notchie in Rome. yesterday. Once downtown and again on Shorter/Turner McCall. Two guys inside.
Any chance one of them is on this site?

I had to run into Winder today and on my return, the main street was heavy with traffic for about 3/4 miles. I turned off at the first side street I came to and this is what I found.

A 308 rebody. It isn't an authentic MERA. 1987 2.8
A 328? Testarosa year unknown. 2.8 automatic
A Countach under the tarp. 2.8.
He has another at another location with a small block, but he didn't know what version.
All need work.

Thursday, saw a nice looking red notchie with its headlights popped up at a McDonalds in Hiawassee.
Belong to anyone here?
-
Saw an early, 84 or 85 silver one yesterday evening leaving a Walmart parking lot in Marystown Newfoundland. I waved and he returned the wave. That is only the third one we have seen on this trip.

I have an online friend that lives in Newfoundland. He owns a silver bumper pad, too. I dont know what area he lives, though.
Correction: He lives in New Brunswick, not NewFoundland.
I also saw a 86 or 87 black GT yesterday, but not in person. It was in a used car lot and on a news report about how used car prices had risen.

Was the report from Dallas, GA? There's a black GT on a lot there. Been there for some time.
-
No, I don't think so. I think it was out of state. Up north, somewhere.
-
Red notchie parked in a driveway on Jamestown Rd/ST/Dr(?) in Menlo, GA.
Belong to anyone here?

Just completed a trip from Huntsville, AL up to Nashville, TN and then down to Tishomingo, MS via (mostly) the Natchez Trace. Spotted a silver Fiero just outside Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville. Then drove by Fiero Mexican Grill near Redmond AFB. Finally, made the pilgrimage to the Fiero Factory.

August 21, silver Fiero near Cadillac, Michigan.
August 25, nice solid black Fiero with an extra-large wing outside Newberry, Michigan.

Saw two Fieros today at the Frankenmuth (Michigan) Autofest.
Stock, Dark Red '87 GT automatic.
The other was slightly modified with the engine moved to the front...
-
Saw another one! Tractor Supply Orange notchie with dual side-scoops and matching wheels on M-57 near Chesaning.
-
What notchie, probably V6, on US23 heading north just above Ann Arbor (Brighton).
They're everywhere up here!
-
I thought that might have been the guy that posted on PFF to look for him. He was coming from Ohio to spend a few days in Boone, NC then returning to Findlay, Ohio. He said he was following US 23 all the way. But he said he was driving a Gold 86 GT.
-
Just spotted a red notchie parked in Kingston, GA with its headlights popped up.

I spent the morning with Tegan at her school, today. When we left, we went to the Chick-fil-A in Bethlehem. Pulled into the lot and saw this. I left a card with my name and phone number, but no reply from them, yet.
-
Interesting. I've never seen that car, that I know of.
-
Neither have I. I didnt think to look at the tag to see where it was from. Young couple and they had a good sized dog with them. They were a little off the main track for Chick-fil-A if they were traveling and wouldn't have seen it from Hwy 316 until they passed the exit.
-
I wonder how they got the dog in the Fiero, along with 2 people?
-
She put it in the floor in front of her. It was a Golden Retriever. They left with the leash hanging out, dragging the ground.
-
Black GT in Savannah on MLK.
There was a tow truck parked in front of it.
-
I saw my fiero yesterday... kinda. Got pictures of my 87 GT from the body shop getting painted! It has been out of commission since damaged 16 months ago. Light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm happy that you are seeing progress.

I saw this 88 again, today. He works in Winder. Stopped and talked with him. It's original except the spoiler. He lives in Athens. Gave him another business card and invited him to come to the meeting this month.

Saw these a couple of weeks ago in Alabama. Anyone recognize YELLOW LEDBETTER?
