Not true, John. I know it's frustrating that you haven't gotten any help. You see how long it's taken us to address the Fastback Formula, the 3800 Formula, Aerodonamic and Fan's GT. On the days I've been available to help you, the weather wasn't suitable or it was in conflict with your schedule. At best, I only have 2 free days a week and I don't hold down a job like everyone else.
Maybe as soon as we get Aerodonamic buttoned up and moving under its own power, we can have a work day/meeting at your garage.
With that said, Michael said he is open to an all-day work session to address Aerodonamic and Fan's GT on October 13, our next meeting date.
We also discussed the Formula Fastback. Though it sits in plain view, no one has inquired if it's for sale. We think it may because they think it's a customer's car. We think a For Sale sign should be placed on it.

No such. The club meeting happens every month. Members are encouraged to attend. Club business is discussed. Separately, there are club events and activities.
None of the club members have worked on my Fiero, either. To be fair, I have not attended any events or meetings, or worked on the Fieros of any club members.
-
I did attend several meetings, I also discussed my needs and desires for This FIERO.
Other than Charlie, I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A QUESTION OR OFFER TO HELP, and I have asked for at least a year, NOW with the event 15 days out, I have miles to go before I sleep.
and dog gone GTRS bring it a couple HUNDRED MILES CLOSER, AND THAT MIGHT BE A VIABLE COMPARISON. Personally I look forward to meeting you, and if I SEE THE ARCH, i'll call.
-
If I was closer, I could help--or at least get in the way.
-
Several of us are assembling at Northlake Automotive around 9:30-10 AM to work on Aerodonamic and Fan's GT. We could use some guidance about where engine harnesses should be routed and some hands-on help with buttoning up and tightening bolts.
We will be trying to start and do a scan on Fan's GT.
If the day becomes extended, we'll take a lunch break for the meeting at The Galaxy Diner then return to see what more we can accomplish. It's supposed to be a beautiful day. Come and help, or just watch and learn.
-
When putting the harness in, be sure to get it on the correct side of the coolant crossover pipe.
-
That's one of the problem areas. It's actually zip-tied to the coolant pipe and passes very near the exhaust. It's melted jand fused the plastic sheathing to the wires. Fortunately, it didn't seem to have melted the insulation off any of the wires.
-
That is bad. Now is the best time to fix wiring issues, to prevent having to do it later, or having random issues crop up. The wiring is old. I've been replacing the wiring and the connectors on mine. Somehow, one of my plastic connectors had melted.
The factory heat-wrap does not seem to be available. I have looked around a bit. Supposedly, you can use the HVAC aluminum heat tape, available at the hardware store. It comes in a roll, like duct tape, but do not use duct tape.

As a thought, if you get something nice for this, someone could write it up for an article.

Well folks I went and bought myself a second Fiero! Didn’t want to share with Jr anymore! Lol! Hope to bring it to the meeting this Saturday. Hint- its another Yellow monster! Tried to upload pics but i guess they’re to big, sorry!
-
Pictures will be in order! Congrats!
-
Can’t get pictures down to 128kb sorry!
-
Send them to the club email, and I'll post them.
-
Ok i sent them!
-
Thanks! Posted for Budgetman72.

OK. I posted them.
-
Very nice! That's worth showing up for a meeting, all by itself.
I see why it's a "monster".
-
OW!!! That is hot! Better ease into the curves until you learn how it handles. Wouldn't want to spoil that one. Speaking of Junior, bring him along on Saturday. !0 AM work session at Northlake Automotive. Junior needs to see how these things are put together now that he has one of his own. Keeps Dad's hands (and The Bank of Dad) unencumbered.
-
I like that idea! I’ll have him check his work schedule and see if he can make it. Thx!
-
The meeting is this Saturday. Has anyone thought about the Polar Bear Run? Any other groups going to join us?
-
The Polar Bear Run isn't our event. We join the Georgia Triumph Association for the event.
-
Ah. Happening, this year.
-
A couple weeks back the Triumph Club stopped for lunch here in Ball Ground, mid week there were at least 20 cars.
-
So....what happened?
-
A very good meeting and turnout, today. All but 2 drove a Fiero. Eight Fieros and Yellow was the dominant color. Fierofool, TopNotch, Roger, Budgetman72 were in their bright fall colors. Then there were Two bright red, one dark yellow/orange and one burnt orange.
-
Does Budgetman's yellow Fiero look as nice in person as it does in the pics?
-
Sure does. The engine bay is really clean and laid out well. The trunk wasn't cut for the exhaust system like so many others.
-
Cut for the exhaust on a 2.8?
-
Bonneville 3800 SC.
-
Oh. Budgetman's. Must be a quality swap.
-

Indeed it does.
-
Darn. And I missed seeing it.

Karma Scott. Karma.

I wasn't the only one who noticed the rabbit ears.
-
What? ;D
-
You can't claim to be stoned, like that Christmas party. ;) What was that, the peace sign?

Interesting. I guess we did things a bit differently, this year.
