Title: Testing or Replacing the MAP Sensor
Post by: Fierofool on February 06, 2019, 11:03:18 pm
Found this article on Robbie The Robot.  It gives some insight into the MAP sensor, and also addresses some idling issues.  The MAP sensor works in tandem with the Idle Air Temperature (IAT) sensor to control the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve.

So how can I find out if the 88 Duke uses a 1 Bar, 2 Bar or 3 Bar MAP sensor?
This could actually have an effect on my idle hunting when warm issue, without throwing an error code.
Is the Duke considered an NA (naturally asperated / no forced induction) engine? Then it would be a 1 Bar MAP.

Nevermind:

The Fiero uses a 1 bar.
