This is the set of 4 brackets that will adapt the 88 calipers to work with 12" C4 rotors. Includes fasteners. (The calipers are shifted up an inch or so, and to the rear.)
I bought them a few years ago, and then decided to do something different.)
They are very similar to these, but do not include hub rings.

This is the thread for the current iteration of these. Mine are older, but a similar design.

Make offer. I'm not using them. Just need to re-home them. :)
Edit - To clarify... These ONLY work on 88s. They won't fit earlier cars. Sorry.

I just did this mod and the braking difference is amazing. Tons more stopping power and even better feel and feedback/control than stock. The car can all but do stoppies now if I stamp on the brakes.
-
Interesting. Even with new tires, the stock '88 brakes can lock up all 4 tires. Probably not as responsive as with these, though.
-
Ya, they would lock with stock but these have better feel now and will get me stopped much faster and not lock up as abruptly.

Will this bracket fit the early Suspension mounting points and also hold 88 Calipers, or only on an 88 car, or will 88 calipers fit early cars? I Want them and have all else but re drilling rotors.
I saw an add for a nice looking 5x100 to 5x120 hub B P change/spacer, very thin so I was Intrigued, It will allow for me to use wheels I already own

John, I got your PM. Will call you this weekend.
These are for 88 cars. I have no idea how to adapt them to an earlier car. The 88 calipers are also very different from the earlier calipers.

Utilizing the same surface area, less clamping pressure is needed on the outer perimeter of a rotating disk than near its hub to effect a stop. That causes less heat buildup or brake fade.

Raydar saw this AFTER I called , No Hurry I am Interested.
-
I talked with John. They will not work with his car. These are for 88s only. (Sorry John.)
Still for sale. (Forgot about the ad.)

Hey Radydar, I have an 88 Formula with the stock 15"s. Are these brackets workable with the 15"s? I am in some definite need of better braking. Thanks!

Sorry! The brackets are spoken for. They won't work with 15s anyway, however.
