We took a quick trip to a car museum. Many makes of cars. Most were makes that I do not recall. Of course, these were mostly made before 1941.
There was a particularly nice one. For some reason, they would not entertain an even swap for my Fiero.
What is your favorite car of that era? Pick a make that no longer exists.

Cord or Dusenberg
-
Boat tail Cord or Auburn.
Pierce Arrows are nice too.

I'll post some pics tomorrow. There didn't seem to be any Pierce Arrows there.

The Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech...

-
I take is that's a Rambler. It is small, or is the truck in the background that large?
-
It's a Ford deuce coupe with rumble seat. The Georgia Tech school song has a line, "I'm a ramblin' wreck from Georgia Tech, and a hell of an engineer...".
-
A story about the Ramblin' Wreck told by one of my high school teachers (a minister) was that the first Ramblin' Wreck wasn't very cosmetically beautiful. On it was a sign that read "Don't Laugh, Ladies. If it wasn't for the paint you'd look like Hell, too."
My Dad worked a mile or so from Georgia Tech and one of the first cars was designed to fold up, bringing the front and rear wheels near each other as they drove along in parades. The car was built in the shop where my Dad worked. They loaned out space for the Tech students to build it. Dad's company built conveyor and assembly line systems for the automotive and paper industries so they had the equipment and steel needed for the students to do the mods.
