Title: A Donster special

I tried a game called hammerschlagen.  For once, this is excatly what it sounds like.  My thumb is still broken, so gripping the hammer is difficult, but the game was still fun.  The game was already in progress, to the tune of about 10 rounds, by the time I joined in.

I watched that.  It's like trying to drive a 10 penny nail with a ball-peen hammer.  Maybe even harder.  I noticed one of the nails went flying.  I wouldn't want to be standing out front of someone swinging the hammer.

Actually, it was fun.  Yes, the nails sometimes fly. In one of my attempts, I hit  the nail several times, and nothing happened.  So, I hit the nail hard enough to drive the nail in.  The shaft of the nail sheared off, and the top part drove in.  As long as the nailing surface is well below eye level, you should be fine.

We'll be stopping off at the Oktoberfest in Munich on the way back from the Riviera. I'll make sure to check, if they have that game set up there!  ;D
