Title: Wanted -- trunk popper solenoid
Post by: TopNotch on August 25, 2019, 04:56:04 pm
The trunk popper solenoid is rusted solid on the 3800 car I'm working on. Which explains why no one was able to open the trunk by applying voltage.

Somewhere, I saw a thead on fixing that solenoid.  My feeling is that, once it's failed me, I replace it.

Is the popper the same on the notch and fastback? I've got a notch lid stashed, I'll check and see if the popper is still on it.

I checked the 2 lids I have and no poppers. I will check the kermit car tomorrow.

Actuator rods and their spring are worth retaining.  They are specific to notchback or fastback with the fastback rod being longer.
