Title: Door adjustment
Post by: Plastic Fantastic on August 27, 2019, 07:18:51 pm
My driver side door scubs the fender Ever so slightly. Anybody know how to adjust the door to prevent the scrubbing.

There is no adjustment built into the hinge, besides you have to take apart half of the interior to get to the head of one bolt. It sounds like the hinge pins are wearing out and need to be replaced.

If it's the door skin that's scraping, you can adjust the skin. You'll have to remove the rear view mirror, remove the molding and remove a screw under it. Then loosen the edge screws and you can adjust.
Edit: I think you may have to remove the rivets under the bottom of the skin also, to allow adjustment of the skin.
