This is on ebay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-1989-Firebird-Trans-Am-Fiero-Headlamp-Light-Module-Relay-GM-16523917/271404651925
The module claims to fit '84-'89 Firebird, Trans Am, and Fiero, but not my '88. Odd.
Price is good, though.

I reckon they lost their bag of clues
-
Well, not the first ones, and won't be the last, either.
-
That reminds me. My understanding is that the headlight electronics are the same for any given year, regardless of body style or number of cylinders. Elsewhere, there seems be be a belief that the GT has different headlight electronics.
-
First generation headlight systems are all the same, all the same relays and limit switches. ..... second generation are also the same, but different from the first generation
-
That's what I thought.
-
I changed my car over to generation 2 headlights it was easier to change out the harness too. Everything was plug and play
-
Interesting. So, no cutting/splicing?
-
I did have to drill a hole in the fender well for the wiring to the module
-
That's odd, Scott. My 86 had a hole big enough to pass the harness ends through. I positioned the module against the fender wall where the original isolation relay was mounted, marked the holes then drilled the mounting holes the same size as was in the module. Then I went underneath and popped the module into place and plugged it in.
-
Both '86 notchbacks, right?
-
Maybe the hole was already there, it has been a while.
