Title: Google to block unsecure sites
Post by: Fierofool on November 04, 2019, 11:51:01 am
I was reading on PFF that Google will soon block sites that don't have the https secure site indicator.  I've also been getting notifications at login to the internet that in December 2020, FlashPlayer will be unsupported or discontinued.

If Google blocks unsecure sites, that means that this website won't be accessible any longer.  I know it is an expense to have a secure site, but it's something we need to look at, and very soon.

This refers to Google Chrome. It will mark sites without https as not secure, not block them, from what I have read.

They already do that.

For the short term, chrome will require users to opt out of the new security features.  I'm sure long term google will take away more control, and force you to conform to their will of excluding non-https sites.
