The wing on my "new" Fiero is badly pitted. I went after it with a belt sander, and some of the pitting is deeper than all the paint and other surface coating. Id rather just have another wing than try to fix that one. Any color is OK, since I'm going to have the car painted anyway.

Did Ronnie's wing sell?

I don't think so. I recently saw it on Facebook Marketplace.
-
There you go. I considered buying it, for measuring purposes.
-
If it is sold I have a black one that has some sag but the surface is good.
-
I have a great Atomic Orange one. No stands.
-
Is it easy to change wing stands?
-
Sortof. The wing stands were painted on the "wing". IIRC, there are 4 screws, each.
-
Just 3 screws attaching the stand to the wing. Two exterior at the front and 1 inside at the rear. Pat, I have the WellNuts and screws to swap stands. One of the stands on mine is missing and the other is broken. Be cautious when removing the wing from the deck. If the stud turns, you will have to let the wing rise up to prevent cracking the stand. There is a flange on the stud that prevents the stud from coming downward through the deck.

Soda blast it and use a 2-part epoxy like you would body filler.

The wing on this car is strictly a home-brew thing. The car obviously didn't have a wing to begin with. The wing is attached with bolts, not studs. And I think It's using the GT, rather than coupe mounting. Part of the rear support on the deck was cut away to allow for the rear bolts, which are farther back than the rear bolts on my other cars.

You may want yo get a good deck lid, while you're at it.
-
I have a lid and a wing for a notch. It's yours If you want it. I can bring it to the January meeting.
-
Is your car a notch? I get the different cars confused!
-
The only trouble with replacing the deck lid is that I'd have to cut and prepare the new one to accept the rear-facing vent that's on the car now, assuming that I want to keep the vent. I think it's a good idea -- providing additional cooling airflow for that big 3800. And it looks good, too.

Yes, 88 coupe. Originally thought to be a Formula.
Edit: Darn, i started a new page. Go back and read the last post on page 1.

Will a notch wing and stands work for what you need?

Yes. I can always drill new holes and patch the old holes, if the stands require it.
-
Look at the stands on Ronnie's wing. It's usable on both. Just requires a different stud at the rear.
-
I am leaning more and more towards pulling my wing and going without it. If so I am sure we can work something out. Has new gaskets too.
-
Bobtail? Oh, the doo dah day.
-
If any of you are available this weekend for me to come over and buy your wing, please PM me. Thanks.
-
Are you willing to drive to Augusta?
-
I can pull my wing and deliver if you like. I am always headed toward Atlanta so it is likely easier than you driving out this way.

You're giving up on mounting your wing?
-
My wing is mounted. Took the stands off the wing Topnotch can have.
-
He told me someone up here had one they were giving him.
-
I have a "new" wing, thanks to MikeMac.

Good. I like the stock winged look.

So, is the notchback wing different from the fastback wing?
