I am having a crazy idea and wondering if anyone is sitting on a truly junker but functional fiero? I am feeling some inspiration for a next project after the formula fastback is done.
So what is everyone sitting on?

Dunno about anyone else, but I sit on my butt. :D
So, you want a Fiero that drives, but has a rusty frame? I keep wondering about Kermit, which I heard was a junker, but thought was a rolling chassis.
-
Looking for a roller for a different type of build. Body and interior condition isn't important as long as it can drive and be swapped easy enough.
-
I might know where one or two are
-
Wait, these might not drive
-
The motor being toast isn't so much an issue as long as the frame is good. Manual trans and notch back are preferable.
-
Not often a car with a motor that is toast will drive far.
What is cheap? $1,000?

You leave my yellow car out of this.

Cheap is dependent on what all is there really.

There's this one: https://augusta.craigslist.org/cto/d/north-augusta-1986-pontiac-fiero/7059463010.html (https://augusta.craigslist.org/cto/d/north-augusta-1986-pontiac-fiero/7059463010.html)
I've spoken with the guy and explained the lack of non-running Fiero value. Especially a 4 cylinder. You can probably get it in the $200-$500 range. He just wants the car to live.
From the ad:
I will consider any reasonable cash offer or trade. If you have ever thought about a fun sports car project, this is it. I am motivated to move it so don't be shy about making an offer. Also you never know what I might trade for.
This is a neat project car. It is in reasonably good condition but has been sitting for a few years. It started when I got it but I have not tried it for about 3 years. I know the hydraulic clutch control needs replacing. There is no battery in it.
I planned to restore it but another project vehicle has taken priority.

Thanks for the lead, this looks to be exactly what I was hoping for.
-
And I have a later model notchie decklid with a luggage rack and the hump to accommodate a V6 or other engine and I'd be willing to part with it.

Good. Let him know where you heard about it.
He has a trailer and may be willing to meet part way.

Dang. Glad it's going to a new home. Bummer you missed out.
