I've seen no mention of our June meeting, so I wanted to mention a few things.
Scott and I talked today and he said that we can hold the meeting at his shop again on June 13. Time is 10 AM. It will be dual workshop session. I will continue to work on my replacement motor for the 86SE and Scott will be doing an AC compressor replacement and system evac and recharge.
A couple of things I wanted to mention at the business meeting is the RFTH 25 scouting trip on June 20. I also would like to make a suggestion about non-members and total strangers who ask us to list their cars for sale in our Market Place section.
If you don't know where Scott's Fiero Service Center is located, please email us at GeorgiaFieroClub@Gmail.Com We will give you the information to find us.
I would also like to ask if the club will furnish lunch again as we did last month.

Sorry. I didn't feel comfortable posting them, since I didn't feel I had enough info. Scott posted one, and MikeMac posted one. I thought June's had been posted, but didn't find it.
You may want to put this one on the calendar. You don't need to create a new topic; this one can be attached.

What did I do?

You posted this:
Since it appears that everything is closing or being postponed, why dont we do a tech session or a work session at my shop? I only ask that you bring a roll of TP ;)
10AM

that was a while ago...... glad yall brought the TP
-
Hey, TP is now only available in single rolls, now. One per vustomer.
-
I have seen it in multi-packs, but there is only enough on the roll for one event
-
I'm up for a work day/ meeting the 13th.
-
I think I need to remind everyone that seating is limited, would recommend yall bring a camp chair
-
Wait, there was time to sit down and not work?
-
Anyone have a head count for this Saturday?
-
So far, what I remember is Me, You, Larry, Jason.
-
I plan to come.
-
I currently have a dive student on an accelerated schedule for his first professional rating. I am not sure if we are diving Saturday, but if not I will be trying to be there.
-
I'll be there. Bringing a bunch of parts with me.
-
I'm planning to be there. Maybe not exactly on time, but there, nonetheless.
Anything I need to bring? Tools? Scan tool? TP? :D
-
Knowledge.

Strippers?
I thought this Fiero was being built back up.
-
I won't be able to make it till the afternoon but will get there as soon as I can.

There may not be any pizza left by then.

Just donuts?

Today's meeting saw Charlie's engine completed and ready to go back in the car, by the time I left. More work might have been done, but a transformer supplying power to the shop blew and power was off for a couple of hours.
Here are a couple of pictures.

Welding the battery tray.

-
It was due to the high-current welder.

It was due to the high-current welder.
The welder is used at the shop often, with no problems. But it could have been the last straw for a failing transformer.
-
Yeah, meant as a joke.

I'm sorry I missed the festivities.

Did they have to replace the transformer? Or was it just a transformer fuse?
What usually happens is that a squirrel will step from the energized line to the (grounded) transformer case, and blow the fuse. (Which also blows the squirrel into next week.) The fuse is about the size of a slightly short, fat paper towel tube.
Power company people call squirrels "pole rats". If you look around, you may find the little sumbeetch laying at the bottom of the pole.
-
After they figured this out, they didn't take precautions so it couldn't happen again?
-
It sounded like it was up on the road behind, about 1/4 mile away. Several sharp curves up there. No sirens, though. Maybe Forsyth defunded them.
-
Lately, most issues seem to be being blamed on COVID. Phones not working? COVID.
-
All that I can say for sure is that I heard a "BOOM" over the hill and it got dark.
-
...and then the caissons came rolling along. ;)
