MikeM and I talked about it the other day and we thought it would be a good idea.  No official decision, though.

Hard to include in the newsletter if not decided until afterward.  COVID messes with everything.

Hmmm... may not make it. We're supposed to be somewhere, mid afternoon.
Getting to and leaving the shop, early, was looking do-able. I don't want to just run in, and run right back out.

Thanks for the update.  It should be good to get another shot at the Diner.

Not when a 1-way drive is 1.5 hours. Sorry.

Girlfriends oldest daughter works at a bank, someone there tested positive for KungFlu. She got tested today but won't have any results until the middle of next week. Mike, Charlie and myself talked about it this morning and thought it would be best if I "quarentined" until she got her test results back

Probably a good idea, since some of the members are probably more susceptible.

We have 2 people at work who are being tested, because they have 1 symptom.  If either one tests positive, I foresee a test in the future of everyone in the building...and a 14-day quarantine.

I very seldom miss a meeting.

I know it's not fun, but probably the responsible thing to do. (Dontcha hate that?)
Let me know what transpires. I might be up for a trip to the shop, in the next week or two, when I can actually spend some time and make myself useful.
Instead of burning a whole trip for an "eat and run".

Aw, come on, Steve.  ;) I've driven all the way to Anderson, SC for a good prime rib.  But then, things like that run in the family.  Mom and Dad once loaded up Ray and Royce and drove all the way down near Valdosta to have breakfast as a restaurant they found once on a trip to Florida.

I can make the meeting at Duluth Diner at 1:30.  I can probably even talk the boy into coming, he loves their french toast.  However, the odds of having a guest or staff there with the 'rona is by far worse than the chances of Scott having it, simple numbers game 1 possibly exposed vs a great many unknowns.  With the current 24% national infection rate there are going to be lots of folks there that had or have it.  That is right, one in 4 tested now show positive.  It will keep spreading till we reach around 60%, not even half way there yet.  98.6% of people who get it recover (89% of those who do not had one or more underlying health issue) and that works out to a very low overall mortality rate, 0.28%.  In other words, I be fine with either location.  But if you have underlying health issues you might have a different opinion.

Likely, but about the same risk as going to the store, depending on how they are doing their stuff.  Some places basically have each table isolated by plastic sheets.  If GFC spreads out, it should not be a problem.

Going to have to skip this one. Everything is taking longer since I messed up my knee really bad last week.

I get it. I loaded up and drove to Hickory one morning, to meet the NC Fiero folks. Made for a long day, but it was fun.
Keep in mind that anything I do is now ~40-50 miles farther than it was, in February. It wouldn't be an issue, if I weren't in a time crunch for the afternoon.

Ouch. I hope you recover quickly.

Melissa and I did the same thing with our first 85GT.  That's how I met Jack Cooke.  We started on a short fun run with them after the meet but decided they were too wild for us and we dropped out.

Yes, I just checked it.  I had noticed that one, hard to beat a black 88 notchie for so cheap.   I'm trying to be patient as I know there is a nice black Formula out there waiting for me.  If it becomes 2021 and no luck I might broaden my search window.  I'm hoping not to have to do major refit on the first one...... now the second......these things do multiply dont they?

The lineup from a different angle.

Also, I'd like to welcome and thanks to Larry's wife, daughter, and son for being a part.  It sounded like, and we hope they will become a regular part of the club.

And welcome to Bill, also.  This guy is no stranger to Fieros, owning 3, including one set up for racing.  A 4-banger with a Chevy 2-bbl carb producing about 150 hp.

They had a good time and each must have been hungry because they finished their plates and commented that it was super good.  The kids are very tolerant of my car events but certainly have a time limit, at which they turn into an uncooperative pumpkin.  Both do seem to like the look of the fiero, we might need three....... Michelle has been a car gal a long time.   The pontiac wagon is actually hers, she did the motor rebuild, disc break upgrade and got the transmission work done. Timing is always an issue for us with each kid having something different going, Michelle a scout leader and other commitments but they did enjoy themselves and will participate in events as possible. They all like to do stuff, not sit at a static car show.  Lunch cruises, drag races, dirt track, cruising the coast, destination drives, stuff like that.

Scott,  good to hear you failed your test.
