Title: Progress update
Post by: Sandman87 on August 13, 2020, 02:53:50 pm
Hey everyone just wanted to make a post here and show you the progress on the Fiero. Got everything painted except for the trim and the top. Been hard to find time to really get at it lately. Car is running and driving great. Just replace the brake master cylinder , put a radio in it, and got the AC system put back together although I do need to get a compressor which to my surprise were very expensive so I will need to save up for that. Got new wheels and tires well New to me that is. Got some new seats that I still need to throw in and other than that I am still just doing some body work up around the sunroof before I can paint up there.

Thank you ! Just lots of fiberglass resin and Bondo trying to get it decently smooth before I paint it.

I've always bought my compressors off Ebay.  I can usually find a pretty good price there. I never got one that was completely bad, but one i got only lasted 2 years -- the others are still OK. I got one for my red SE (my brother still uses it), two for my yellow t-top (including the two-year one), one for my silver Formula, and one for my newest white Fiero.
Edit: Keep in mind that the V6 Fiero and 86-88 4-cylinder Fieros don't use the same kind of AC compressor. Make sure you get the right kind. For the V6, it's the HR6 compressor.

Unfortunately I doubt it. That is a long haul for me to drive that car.
