Here are the first set of pictures -- taken by me.
Gas stop

Lunch stop

Scenic overlook. My car had broken down before this picture. It may have filled that gap.

Gatlinburg from my hotel balcony (7th floor)

This beautiful car...

...has the coolest intake.

I had a little fun on the curves before my car broke down.

Your video was enjoyable to watch.
I don't recall that black Fiero in the group pics.
Those dual throttle-body setups are interesting. I'm guessing that engine is more than the stock 2.8, but should have great flow. Of course, the exhaust must match..
-
The black GT belongs to TTSlick. His wife injured her back on Friday night and felt she couldn't make the run. They came from west central Georgia just for the run.
I believe he said the engine was a 3.1. I don't remember the specifics of the engine as to whether any mods were done. Ken Wheeler of Wheeler Performance Cycles in Robbinsville, NC added a small motorcycle throttle body to the top of a stock plenum and he said it gave the 2.8 new life and a kick in the seat of the pants when it opened up. I can only imagine TT's rewards.

More pictures. These pictures are from Gordon, from Chicago I think. Most of them were actually taken by his wife, whose name I don't recall.
There will be more of these tomorrow. I'm going nite-nite now.

He got me!

-
Thank you so much for the photos.
-
Very cool!
-
You may have noticed in this picture that the passenger side exhaust outlet is hanging kind of low. The hanger broke. Perhaps that was a harbinger of things to come.

Here is the last set of pictures from Gordon.

Great pics! Lots of beautiful cars.
I particularly like the Z28 wing on the red notchie. Was thinking about doing one on my coupe. (If I ever get the mechanicals done.)

He said it's rather heavy, so you definitely need to add a gas strut to hold up the deck lid.
-
I was noticing that wing. Surely, something lighter could be made.
-
But he liked that one.

No doubt. But this is a "stock" item. It's from a '92 Z28, and it fits the Fiero decklid perfectly.
I also had one on my 88 Firebird Formula. IMHO, it actually looked better on the Firebird than it did on the Camaro.
And yeah... it's a heavy beast.

And you thought the pictures were done...

Where is the person next to the driver sitting? Or, how many people are in that Fiero?
I could be wrong, but someone appears to be straddling something.
-
I think she's leaning over. Maybe propped on the center console.
-
At first, I thought maybe she had been photoshopped in.
-
Not photoshopped. She's for real and becoming a Fiero fan. At the lunch stop, I asked her if Jordan had scared her, yet. She said No, and she was enjoying the rides.
Turns out, I was friends with her grandfather and her dad.
-
Small world.
No tickets there if caught straddling the center line?
-
Since the picture was taken by one of the group and it's from what appears to be a parking lot, he was probably turning into the parking area. Most likely at the lakeside bathroom stop after we got through The Dragon. Well, it was supposed to be a bathoom break. DNR had welded the doors shut on the bathrooms.
-
Welded?! They were serious. Weld or no weld, nature still calls. I have seen padlocks, tape, and signs, but not welded doors for COVID closures.
Parking lot. That would explain it.
-
I got there late, having stayed behind to assist Pat. The guys were going behind the buildings, down toward the lakeside. In one of the parking lot shots, you can see the restroom building and the lake is immediately behind it.
I don't know what the ladies did. Bathroom stops are generally geared for the ladies.
-
There was a large bush by the welded door bathroom building that appeared to be well watered. I helped.
The structure near the right edge of this picture is the bathroom.

-
That looks like oldjoedad, on the left.

I think he is on your other left....... :P
-
in all of the times that I have been there I wouldn't call that a bathroom..... walked in it once and turned right around
-

I think he is on your other left....... :P
Yep. I'm dyslexic, today.
-

What is the object of interest?
-
Food......
-
There is food on the nose of Charlie's Fiero? Bugs?
-
Charlie's back was hurting, and he had to bend over to ease the pain. He was a real trooper to go on the run in spite of this, and to help me when my car died.
-
I didn't realize it was still that bad. Fierofool, thanks for doing this.

Yeah, that's why I've been replacing anything that looks the least bit iffy. All the exhaust hardware was replaced on the '84.
-
My white car is back home now. It took a week for it to get home from RFTH.
-
Considering what happened to my transmission, could that patch of pavement at 1:08 have contributed to the problems with your transmission?
Did you manually downshift, at all, during the run?
