I've found a Blue 87 Coupe in Elgin, South Carolina, just north of Columbia. It's a 4 cylinder automatic. The car has been sitting for 2 years and it's believed to need a starter. It only clicks when trying to start it. The asking price is $300 with a title.
Here's a description of the car from Nelson Thompson who was kind enough to go out and check out the car for me. The owner's name is Calvin Grigsby and his phone number is 803-408-6806.
This is Nelson's description:
Questionable items
1. The vehicle was parked under a tree for quite a while and has crud all over it.
2. The clear coat appears to be pealing over most of the upper car.
3. The interior is wet on the floor (both sides) and there may be a leak.
4. The driver's side seat is beyond repair on the upper half of it.
5. The headlights appear to be permanently up or at least disconnected.
6. The vehicle will not run and may need to get at least a starter.
7. Headliner will need replacing.
Good things
1. The car has a four banger.
2. It is an auto transmission
3. The dash and interior hard plastic pieces look decent.
4. Mileage is 103,000 on the odometer.
5. Little external rust was noted but I did not attempt to crawl under the car due to a sea of mud and water and I did not pull the trunk carpet.
