The December Caffeine and Octane show will be December 6. We elected to do this show as a club group.
I'm in.
-
In theory I’m in.
-
If things finally start going my way I will likely be in with Marilyn but we will be driving her Vette. The deal was it gets done before the fiero gets back on the table to be finished.
-
As long as the 'Vette is enjoyed (driven), great!
Besides, that means you're one step closer to finishing the Fiero.
-
You might want to put this on the calendar.
-
I’m there!
-
Can't make it, flying to New Mexico that day
-
Just making sure this is still happening. I counted 4 people.
-
What time should we get there and where do we meet?
-
Last time we needed to be there by 7:15. Reserved spaces must be opened up at that time.
It would be good if everyone brought their FRS radio, Channel 7. Call in for location when you enter the parking lot. Or secure Larry's phone number privately to call him.
-
I think frs radio is best. I’ll have mine.
-
Technically reserved spaces have to be opened by 7am, I was off a half hour last time. It gets pretty full by 6:30 and cars are clamoring for unused spaces by 7. I got there at 6:15 and literally got the last block of spaces that could fit our group. Probably should have gotten there 15min earlier. Now we had 8 last time which is hard to find that many open after 6am. With only 4 it should be much easier to find that many adjacent spots, especially on a cold temperature morning. Who can meet me there at 6:15? Certainly in the same "club lot". I'm thinking same area, or slightly closer to where the exotics park, if not right up against them.
-
No real guarantee, but I can try to be there by 6:15.
-
How early can you get there?
-
I'm 35 miles away. If I get up at 5 it will be sometime before 6:30.
Larry, why do you need someone there at 6:15?
-
The Vette is far from ready so I won't be there.
-
In theory I’m in.
Bringing your Fiero?

Bringing your Fiero?
That’s the plan 🤞🏻
-
Excellent!
-
It's just easier to get all together if we are there around the same time. Plus then I'll have some company ;). But if anyone cant be there that early we'll hold spots as long as we can. So how many we looking to save?
-
We had
Larry
Ralph
Gabe
Pat
Charlie
Scott (possible if he gets things done at home)
-
I will shoot for 0600 arrival. I have some cones we can use along with yours.
-
Have fun. Take pictures!
-
I'm not going to make it. I'm expecting the daughter of my friend who passed away. I don't know her ETA.

Nice. I see Fierofool's Fiero, Wreck-It Ralph's Fiero?, Gabe's Fiero, and TAD's Fiero.
Now, who would do such a thing as parking their Fiero opposite to all the other Fieros? ;)
-
What is the teal car?
-
The red 88 notchback in dire need of paint is indeed mine.
The teal car is a Studebaker, no clue the year or model.
-
It's red. That's paint.
-
What is the teal car?
My guess, it started life as a 1950-51 Studebaker Champion.
-
I parked opposite because we were directly across from the Corvettes. I only partially opened the trunk so the decal was visible. I saw quite a few visitors taking pictures of it. A corv8owner parked next to me was very complimentary of the Fiero.
-
Ah. I was making fun of someone in a white Fiero, who repeatedly did that on 11/1.
-
Ralph, thanks for the pics.
-
That is a 1950 Champion. In 51 they got rid of the vents below the hood and painted the outer ring in the middle instead of chrome. I had a 50 and a 51 in the mid 60's, both convertibles.
The 50 had an I6. In 51 Studebaker came out with their first V8.

Yeah, before I was born. I have less knowledge of Studebakers than of Hudsons.
-
I think that's a 51. It doesn't have the 2 small openings at the bottom edge of the hood like the 50 had, according to images I see.
I was wondering why the front was so pronounced and I finally realized that the bumper had been removed. Compared to having the bumper, it makes it look like a custom build front end.
My dad had 2 different Studebakers, both V8's and 4-doors and a neighbor had a V8. I remember at least one of dad's had Hill Holder brakes. Stop on a hill, put on the foot brake and it would hold the car even with the clutch depressed. It released automatically as the clutch was released. Even though they were heavy cars, they were right up there with GM and Ford when it came to power.
-
Oh. I was using those brakes for something else...
