Yeah. Mine too. Leaning towards "probably not".
-
In general, I extend well-wishes. In the case of COVID, it's exhausted my patience. I wish COVID would just up and DIE. I sincerely hope it's on its deathbed.
-
Something we might talk over in the months to come is the Carlisle GM Nationals. June 25, 26. There is a Fiero show within the show due to our large numbers.
Arrive, display and socialize on Friday. The big show is Saturday. Awards Sunday and go home. It would be great to have a big Georgia showing.
-
Maybe the Fiero people up there would be interested in attending a GFC event.
-
I think Gary and his wife who live in Baltimore will be coming down this year. I made friends with him at Carlisle. He's the MAFOA photographer and sometimes writer for them. I think MAFOA has an event in September around our time that conflicts. I've been issuing the invitations for 3 or 4 years, though. If any came, it probably would only be a few individuals.
-
The 2020. RFTH was moved, to avoid conflicts.
-
RFTH was moved mainly to allow some of our more local people to attend but also to allow other clubs to participate. It is difficult to keep our September schedule and not conflict with other events.
-
It is important that we have members present at the January 9 meeting, other than the elected officers. There may be some conflict of interest in the election and members other than the officers-elect must take a vote. I will explain this at the meeting.
If at all possible, please be there. And no, we haven't had anyone contest the voting process due to suspected fraud. :D
-
My head hurts.

I heard rumors of votes being brought in, after midnight, in an old Ford LTD, by MIB's.
But just rumors...
-
Annnnnnnnd I might not be able to make it, we have a teenager who has friend with the Kung Flu and she is complaining of not being able to taste anything. Will play it by ear for the next couple of days
-
Its official, we have a case of covid here, as a result I will not be attending this weekend. Also, I will refuse being chairman of the board (need to get that in writing before it happens)
-
Are you fixed for supplies? Can you get groceries and necessities delivered? If not, let me know. I'll do what I can to help.
-
We should be good, thank you. Only one here has symptoms so far, hopefully I can get some good shop time in.
-

I hope all goes well. If you need anything please let us know how we can help. Would you be willing to be on speaker phone during the board meeting? If so can you send me your contact info.
-
My son in law had it worse in his household. My daughter was next worse with headaches and congestion, then the granddaughter had mostly headaches and sniffles. If you are all pretty healthy, you may come through it pretty well. My son in law says he's still sore from it.

Yes I can do a video telecall
Do I have to wear pants? ;)

Are they better, now?
-
Just got notification that my teammate at work tested positive. I am now on isolation save for going to get a PCR test done. I too can video call or zoom into the meeting.
-
Just asking, but how does that impact the dream job?
-
Zack, do you have a Zoom account? If you do, I'll take a tablet and we can call you in. I don't know if Duluth Diner has wifi or not. There's no mention of it on their website.
-
Since the exposure was at work I am okay as long as I get a negative PCR test. If I get Covid, unknown. The damage it does to people's lungs has forced a few friends out of diving permanently.
Yes, I have zoom on my phone and computer.
-
As always, I wish for the best for everyone. People, that is. COVID can suffer a rapid demise, and I'd rather it did.
-
Do you have an account, or just the app? I have the app on my tablet, but I don't have an account to set up a meeting. I can only dial in on meetings that have accounts and provide their number and pass code. Without wifi at the restaurant, we couldn't make a connection unless someone has the app and uses their phone browser.
-
Most phones can be activated to be a wifi hotspot so we could do that and use the tablet.
-
Phones, yes, but some providers do not allow this, without extra cost.
-
We can use mine..
-
I can put on my computer whatever yall need
Nobody answered my question though
-
My son has been zooming into school sans pants, nobody has noticed yet so I'd say they are optional.
-

I can do that........ and provide yall proof :P
-
What video conference platform are yall going to use?
-
Someone at the meeting will have to have a Zoom account if that's used, then they will need to publish the account number and access number in this thread. Just having the app on a device only allows you to tune in to a meeting. It doesn't support starting a meeting.
-
Just throwing this out there. I do not have Zoom for myself, but do have Teams. I can host a Teams session, but it's harder to use than Zoom. You have to download the application/app, and you have to use a Microsoft account to connect.
-
I already gots Teams
-
We can get a free zoom account or buy a membership as a club. I know we want in person meetings but this is a brave new world. Could be just offer for the sick and out of towners.
-
Free Zoom has limits, like 40 minutes. Ideally, hosted by someone at the meeting.
-
That’s why I think the club buying a one year membership might be a good idea. Might be a discount for non profits
-
Agreed. Zoom is also easier to use--and more prevalent.
-
At $149 per year I think it’s worth it. Plus all you need is a computer (with or without webcam) or phone/tablet with app. The participants don’t require an account. Again pre meeting we’d just ask those sick or out of town to just request the link. If WiFi is available we can bring a laptop and external camera on a tripod.
-
I like the idea of a zoom option for the meetings. Due to COVID I have only been able to travel to Atlanta once this past year and am not sure when I will be back. With zoom at least I will be able to participate on some level.
-
Was a platform decided ?

Hmmm. If Zoom happens.
-
Unfortunately no decision was made before the meeting. The Board did decide to try Microsoft Teams as there is no cost or limits that would affect us.
-
I certainly hope that turnout was still good, and that the meeting was productive.
-
Nine people present.
-
Awesome!
-
WIR has meeting notes.
-
The addendance poll can probably be removed. Just a suspicion, but likely, anyone who did not attend, will not be attending a past event. ;)
-
But what if they are part of the Delorian club too? 🤔
-
Mr. Fusion quit working.
-
Hmmmmmm........ if only we had a position within the club leadership to record and publish the minutes of the last meeting......
-
Hmmm.
-
I promise I will get to it guys. Been a very busy last few days.
-
Received the notes, thanks.
It has been more than 3 days since the possible exposure. Usually, people exposed to COVID seem to be developing symptoms within 2-3 days. Also of note: none of the local COVID cases have been blood type O. Hoping all are well, there.
-
I’ve been wondering if blood type played a part in it. My dad and step mom tested positive both type-o. Not one symptom.

I've been hearing about the Type O thing, too. Interesting.
-
There was something that came out a while back about a certain blood type that seemed to have milder symptoms, but I don't remember the source.
Found this:
Associations between blood type and COVID-19 infection ...www.nature.com › nature communications › articles
Nov 13, 2020 — found a greater proportion of A and a lower proportion of O blood types among COVID-19 patients, relative to the general populations of Wuhan and Shenzhen5. Similarly, using a meta-analysis of data from Italy and Spain, Ellinghaus et al. found6 a higher risk of COVID-19 among A and a lower risk among O blood types.
And from MIT Technology:
Early evidence: As far back as March, Chinese researchers analyzed blood types in 2,173 infected individuals from Wuhan and Shenzhen and compared those results with surveys of blood types from healthy populations in the same region. They found that 38% of the covid-19 patients had type A blood, compared with just 31% of the healthy people surveyed. By contrast, type O blood seemed to lead to a reduced risk, with 26% of the infected cases versus 34% of healthy people. And type A patients accounted for a larger proportion of covid-related deaths than any other blood type. Another study at Columbia University found similar trends: type A individuals were 34% more likely to test positive for the coronavirus, while those with type O or AB blood had a lower probability of testing positive.
