My caster is a bit past the limit on the right side. Nothing I can do brings the caster back into alignment.
What next?
-
What type of readings are you getting?
-
Are offset caster bushings available for the 88 Fiero?

It's about +6.9, IIRC. I don't have the alignment sheet.

Well, before the deer, it was spot on. No idea why the right wheel would now be further forward.
-
Actually, if you have a positive reading, the wheel is tipped backward at the upper control arm. That puts the footprint of the tire forward of its center axis.
-
Any way to fix that?

When I was working at the hot rod shop we set the caster around 7° which is the spec for pre88...... as long as both sides are the same I don't think it will be a problem. I wonder why they took 1.5° out?
-
The right side is further forward. Looked at another way, if there was a race between the front tires (keeping the car straight on the road), the right side tire would win.

That's how I looked when I was first learning to snow ski. One foot out ahead of the other before pointing them up to the sky.
-
Skiing is like bowling. People line up on the slope. When I hurtle down the slope, I take the people out like 10-pins.
5 points for stationary people
10 points for people in motion
15 points for people actively trying to evade you
50 points for taking out the slope owner/manager
100 points for taking out people coming to get you
300 points for taking out multiple people coming to get you
My high score is 525 points. It would have been higher, but I hit a tree.

Something moved drastically, and is seems to have been caster. The caster is now correct, but everything else was wrong.
