Several years ago I replaced my MAP sensor plug because the clip was broken. Cost somewhere in the $25 range. Now, that replacement is totally crumbling. I'd like to have an old OEM harness plug that still has the retainer clip. Anyone have one for sale?
-
Not the harness, but TFS carries the connector.
-
The connector is what I need. I can simply repin the replacement connector without splicing. That's what I did before.
-
Were you pleased with the quality of the connector?
-
Rockauto has several to choose from

No. The retainer clip broke off it some time ago. Now, the clip that holds the wiring in place is crumbling apart. I think I ordered it from Rock Auto or maybe Advance. If no one has one, I'll check with my local AC Delco stores. Had to drive 15 miles to an AC Delco today to get a Stant thermostat. NAPA nor any of the discount chains carry them any more.

I have the TFS connector sitting in a box, with one each of the other connectors/plugs/pigtails. Never used them, but just in case. Mine came from TFS & Rodney. No idea where they sourced those parts.

I just ordered a harness connector from O'Rielly. Made by Standard Ignition.
-
Should be good quality.
-
Standard Ignition is a good brand. Better than BWD or Sorensen.
-
Do you have a part #?
-
I'm not sure if this still applies, but it used to be that NAPA would source parts from the same people that the car companies were. Like everything else today you have to pay attention to the brand name. I believe those parts were under the Echlin brand
-
I have an Echlin crank position sensor.
-
Echlin is a good brand, too. You never know who really makes things these days. So many parts are made by the same company and branded for different end sellers. I just ordered a FoMoCo EGR valve for my truck. Got it from RockAuto. I had looked at the same valve branded by Duralast, and they had the same image as RockAuto, with the FoMoCo logo and same part number. It just cost more. When I got it, it was made in Mexico. NAPA still carries Echlin but they have another brand of their own, too. I believe it's BalKamp
The MAP sensor part number at O'Rielly is S595. They have another Standard Ignition part HP4470 by Standard Ignition that's $7 cheaper.

That's odd, unless it's really two different manufscturers.
