Will they be able to accommodate us, depending upon turn-out?
-
Gabe or I will show up 30 minutes early to get set up. We will need to have a head count for sure.
But they can accommodate 40-50 if planned ahead of time or 20 no problem if we show up there early. 930 am Saturday is dead for them.
They asked for us to be done by 1130-1200. I don’t see that being a problem.
-
Yeah, afterward, we can hang out in the parking lot and answer questions about our cars.

Their web site isn't useful at all. It's a bunch of places, but clicking on the diner goes to roma graphics, is all.

Well, that's a decent time slot, depending on how long it takes for food to be served.
-
My bad. Try this one.

Thanks Ralph.

Thanks Ralph.
You are welcome. Not sure what for but I’ll take it. 😂 I don’t hear thank you often.

Setting it up. The answer regarding accommodations. Etc.
(I haven't been involved much, lately. But I appreciate what others, including yourself, are doing.)
-
I'm 30 minutes away. I can get there early to help set up tables and chairs for our group.
-
This needs to be in big bold color copy on the home page. Problem is that many people go straight to the message board and never look at the home page.
-
We still have pages that show the Galaxy Diner as the meeting place.

Has the time of the meeting been finalized?

Yes. Can you change the website to match?
-
Well, maybe I can order something to take home.
You see, I usually get up at about 7:30, take my meds, and have a bowl of cereal, because I need food in my stomach for at least some of the pills.
So I may not be real hungry at 9:30. We'll see.
-
I have a similar situation, but mine includes my dogs.
They are fed and medicated morning and night at 9.
I also take my meds at 9, morning and night, except that I can take my meds along with me.
Can't take the dogs. It takes me about an hour and a half to get there, but not near as long as those further out.
I'll see how I can work it out.
-
Hmmm. Everyone had a chance to speak up.
-
Do seats need to be reserved?
-
RSVPs would be great but we should get enough seats no problem.
-

Shows Duluth Diner.
-
Not going to make it. Karate ceremony. Let me know how the food is.
-
Is there an agenda for this meeting?
-
When I told my daughter we were moving the meetings to Marietta, she quickly asked "Marietta Diner?".
So, now, she has placed her order with me to GrubHub her favorite dish back to her. Guess the food must be good.
-
That's good news.
I had no idea you moonlighted as a food delivery driver.
-
Is there an agenda for this meeting?
As per usual I will be waiting till the last minute to post it. 😂 truthfully I forgot that I didn’t post one. I should have time tomorrow to pound one out.
-

Not my usual thing. I haven't told her about the possibility of going to the New York Deli, yet. But hey, when I was down with my back, they brought food to me several times a week.
-
base agenda up
-
More parades?
-
Always on the lookout for parades. We may actually attend one in the near distant future
-
Cool!
-
I may noy make it tomorrow, I have a tree that is leaning towards my house and if it falls it is going to be bad.
-
Two sticks of dynamite should do it.
-
That'll do it...... unfortunately I can't use it. It's leaning towards the house and I am going to have to pull it away as it falls. I can't get an 8' wide truck through a 6' gate, so I will to get creative with some rigging to make it fall where I want it to
-
You can remove all branches from the house side, and use a come along, with a good back wedge cut. The trunk likes to jump off the stump, so be careful.
When we removed a tree by my house, we cut the trunk down un sections, using rope to lower each section. You need a second person to hold the rope from the ground, while you cut the sections.

Come on over and show me how it's done
-
No can do. The AC in my truck gave out, but the truck does not like the new tires, anyway, and my Fiero needs a fuel tank.
Actually, I have to do some things for work, tomorrow. I can do them remotely, but, if anything goes wrong, I don't want to be too far. The last 2 IT companies got canned for screwing this up, and this is my first week doing IT for this company.
-
Have fun at the meeting. I hope it doesn't rain.
-
The agenda has been updated with notes.
I personally loved the new location. No one complained about the food. Mine was delicious! The waitress was very attentive and accommodating. The did put a 18% service charge/tip on the bill which was ok but a warning would have been nice. It was a bit crowded because of Mother's day weekend. I propose we meet there again to see if we get a repeat performance.
-
Thanks for the update.
-
I also enjoyed the new venue. My food was very good.
I don't mind the added "service charge". It was fairly well spelled out. Once they get used to us, maybe they won't do that, although it may be policy. (They host a lot of large groups. The ROMEOS, and various car clubs, among them.) And yes, our waitperson was very efficient and pleasant. And very easy on the eyes, I should add.
It was also nice to meet Ralph and Gabe, after having many missed so many meetings. I almost felt like a newcomer. It was nice to meet Rob, too. I kind of got the idea that he was new, but I could be mistaken about that. Don't recall seeing him on any of the forums.
Good to see Charlie and Pat, as always. Missed a few folks who I thought would be there.

What, the wait staff didn't spill drinks on you?! :D
When Ralph made the comment about "attentive", I was expecting the word "attractive", but figured he was trying to avoid that word.
-
To tell the whole truth, the WAITRESS was attractive and WE were attentive.
-
Just wait. Next time, Helga will be your waitress. Of course, her name tag will show, "My name Peggy".
-
Anyone notice your Fieros?
And what's this about meeting notes?
-
Look at the first post in this thread.

Sorry. I update the first post with the notes in place of the agenda.
Also yes. We had a few people looking at them. Most of us parked in a row till a truck squeezed in and ruined our fiero line.
-
Thank you.
-
Last month's notes are not in the thread for the last meeting.
-
Are the meetings now at 9:30am, or at 10am?
-
They seem to take too many side bars so 930 is the start time so we can get out my the promised time of 1130.
-
I had asked because elsewhere someone said 10am.
-
Yes, I was mistaken about the time.
-
Just clarifying for the newsletter. Not throwing anyone under the bus.
