Do any of you like Hot Pastrami sandwiches, Reubens, Brisket sandwiches, Roast Beef sandwiches, Philly Cheese, Cubans or other New York Style Deli sandwiches? If you do, what say after the June C&C we drive out to near Northside Hospital and have a good sandwich?
-
You’ve peaked my interest.... go on.
-
This is an authentic New York deli. If you're lucky, you can even get a server with the New York attitude. They have a couple of locations. Sandy Springs and Hilton Head, SC. On Sunday they are open 10 til 2.
Parking space can be a little scarce because there are a number of other businesses in that complex, but I think they have space around back. It's Gruby's New York Deli, 860 Johnson Ferry Rd NE. Their website says masks are required, but I don't know how current that information is, in light of the relaxed guidelines.
-
Busy month:
- First Sunday, C&C
- Second Saturday, club meeting
- Third Sunday, Father's Day
- Fourth (last) weekend, Carlisle
-
I did not see this on the calendar.
-
One week from today.
-
I haven't heard anyone say they're going, yet.
-
Maybe check who isn't going.
-
Sunday weather forecast calls for scattered rain and thunderstorms.
-
Scatter them somewhere else.

Sure would be nice if there was an address associated with the June 6 Caffeine and Octane meet-up in the June 6 Caffeine and Octane thread. This is the best I could find. Sure hope it's correct.

Maybe also instructions for how to find other club members?

The 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road is Perimeter Mall. The show is at the back side of the mall. So, exit I-285 at Ashford Dunwoody, and go outside the perimeter to the mall on the left.
-
Gabe and I should be there.
Still parking next to the exotics.
-
Maybe also instructions for how to find other club members?
Where is that information in this thread?
-
I can go if others are going. I don't want to be the only Fiero.

Wreck-It Ralph sortof added that. My post was going along with yours, looking for helpful info for those who may not have attended previously,.
-
The show is at the backside of the mall. The light poles have big numbered signs on them. Larry has usually gotten us in the area of #72, so that can be a starting point. It's in front of the Von Maur storefront.
I find it easiest to follow Ashford Dunwoody to Perimeter Center West, turn left to the first light, then left and immediate right. That leads around to where we're usually located.
-
Gabe or I can make a google pin. Give me a bit….
-
Here is the google pin for where we try to meet.

Parking is first come in the club lot which means getting there well before 6am if you want to cone off adjacent spots. Last time I got there at 545am and it seemed like the Corvette and miata clubs had half the parking lot marked off. Technicaly the rules are one car can save up to 3 additonal spots but one Corvette apparently is worth 35 spots. Cones have to be pulled by 7am so if you snooze you loose. With bigger crowds now post covid you might need to get there by 430am to get spots together as that is how it used to be. Much easier to slide in late at 10 and park randomly.

I can't do this Sunday. I have a church function.

Wait... this ends when?
-
People start rolling out about 10. We leave around 12
-
Arriving at 10 would not seem to be time well spent.
-

Anyone definitely going?
-
Going to combine the info into one post.

-
I thought the activity actually ended at 11am.
-
All depends on what’s going on. If there is good attendance of us and others. If people start leaving. Weather. Just depends.
-
I meant the scheduled time.
-
Possible I’m wrong. 😂 no one else besides you has chimed in so 🤷🏻♂️
-
Their stated time is until 11 AM. Some begin leaving around 10, but like Ralph said, it depends.
-
I'll go if someone will save a place. I'm not getting up at 4:30.
-
People going?
-
I’ll be there at 4:30 with cones to reserve some spots. See you there bright and early.

My understanding was that the mall opened at 11.

I’ll be along shortly after

Have fun, & take pictures!

I did. Here they are...

Crazy Jimmy was there with his 84, which will get a 3800SC later.

Other cars...

What is on the hood of the datsun?

Some kind of anime artwork.

That last red car looks nice. Not sure what it is, though.

It's a 1950-something MG.
-
Nice.
-
A 1950s MG TD convertible
-
Well, someone who knows.
-
Yes. Looks like a 1952 era TD. It was a popular kit car reproduction in the 80's. We looked at several when we were buiding kits and replicars. There wasn't a lot of difference in the TD for several years. Similar to the VW Beetle. They didn't change much cosmetically.
-
I saw a similar MG in a museum in Memphis, when I went there to visit with my son and sister in May.

-
Years ago, I got to drive a wooden-body "sports car". No power, very flimsy, and not fun to drive, but sure looked cool.

Did anyone go?
-
That was set up by Charlie and he didn’t go so nope.
-
No one really expressed interest, but it'd be nice if there was continuity.
-
True
-
Had I been there, I would have reminded everyone while we were standing around talking. I guess I should have posted the name and address of the place in case anyone else remembered.
-
Well, there's next time.

It’s ok. We still love you Charlie! It wasn’t the same without you.
