I need someone with the tools and the knowledge to adjust the clutch air gap on my 87. It's a new compressor and sounds like the clutch is chattering when it's engaged.

Went for a drive to adjust my headlights and left the phone in the car.
I don't think the clutch has to be removed. Someone had adjusted the air gap on one of my cars and it was done with everything installed. Roger said it wasn't he that did it nor did he have the tools to remove and replace a clutch. I don't know who did it for me.
Someone also swapped out an AC clutch for me and I don't know who that was, either.

Those are the tools that are needed

Brown's Fiero Service Center Got 'Er Done. The new belt had stretched and was vibrating badly. After tightening, it's quiet as a sleeping baby.

I thought we talked about the belt.

I had always though the AC clutch was just replaced with the compressor.

From what I've seen while browsing Ebay, some compressors come with and some without the clutch. That applies to both new and rebuilt compressors. One must also be vigilant about the pulley, paying close attention to the pulley. It might be the right compressor, but have a pulley for a flat serpentine belt.

I've always replaced the compressor when the clutch went out, usually somewhere around 230K miles.
