My trip to Texas and back was hard on my el-cheapo $400 transmission. The lock-up of the torque converter started slipping and eventually the PCM decided it wasn't going to work and quit trying it. So I need to re-build either the transmission in the car, or the one I took out of the car. Either way, I need all of my carport space.
-
We can get the transmission to my friend Carlos. He’ll give you a smoking hot deal. I’ll make sure of it.
Also. I’ll work with Gabe and Jimmy about moving the parts car.
-
Do you need the tow dolly? You can load it backward onto the dolly since the transmission is out of it.
-
I'd like to come and help (and gain some knowledge watching the experts!)
-
Gabe and Jimmy are planning a pick up. I think they are going to try for Thursday. If I can’t make it they are going to bring the old transmission to me. I’ll get with my guy and see about rebuilding it.
-
Pat, does that work for you? We can be to your place between 5-6pm.

Agreed by text that that's Ok.

So long, Parts Car. You gave me some good stuff, but now it's time you were gone...

-
Well they forgot to pick up your old transmission. 🤦🏻♂️ Gabe has one that can with the 3800 project that is supposedly good. If there is any way to bring your old one to the Christmas party then I can get it to my guy.

I could put it in the back of my SUV using my cherry picker. There would have to be some strong people with good backs at the party to get it out.

I missed this yesterday, thanks to traffic. It was dusk by the time I reached there, Pat's garage was still open, revelaing the majesticly beautiful Yellowbird coyly glistening in the setting sun's rays. I LOVED THAT VIEW! 8)
-
Yeah, the yellow one's in the garage now, and the white one's in the car port awaiting disassembly.

I think we can make that happen.
