We received word last night that former member and Secretary Treasurer Jerry Thayer passed in Charlotte NC, on June 10.
Jerry worked for an air cargo firm and was temporarily assigned to Atlanta Hsrtsfield. He drove a black 85FieroGT, which was his screen name.
He lived in a motor home in a campground in Acworth, and during a period of heavy rains and a flash flood, he just barely escaped with the motor home, but his Fiero was left behind.
As the waters receeded, he recovered the car and managed to restore it to it's original beauty.
If any of you have memories, stories, or pictures of Jerry, email them to the club address and I will forward them. His daughter in law says they have very few pics of him.
