Title: Downtown Gatlinburg Fire
Post by: Fierofool on October 16, 2022, 08:14:02 am
You all may remember the massive fire that swept through the Gatlinburg, Dollywood, and Pigeon Forge areas years ago.  It wiped out much of the mountainsides with only minor damage to the immediate downtown Gatlinburg area.  But has anyone heard of the recent fire in Downtown Gatlinburg?  This was very near the Edgewater Inn where Georgia Fieros has stayed on several Run For The Hills events.

This was apparently last weekend. Haven't heard a word.
Guess they haven't had enough airtime available, with all the political ads and crap.

I'm sorry to hear about this. They're reporting one fatality, too.

I think it was on October 9.  Judging by one of the pictures, it looked like it was on the main drag almost directly in front of the Edgewater Inn.  The Edgewater Inn can be seen in the background.
