Title: Broken muncie m17 clutch arm
Post by: Hamshrew on October 16, 2022, 01:23:55 pm
So the clutch arm broke in my 85gt. I looked around for a replacement but the only new one I can find is at TFS but it says it’s for Isuzu 5 speed.

I’ve read several threads at pennocks with a couple of them suggesting the Isuzu 5 speed arm will work on the 4 speed Muncie.

Does anyone know if this will work or am I going to need to find a used one?

John, It seems that the release arm might work since the Isuzu and the 85-86 4-speeds use the same slave cylinder.  I don't know of anyone who has a scrap 4-speed that you could get one from.  the 84-86 4-speed should be the same.  Email ImThaDriver@yahoo.com   He might have a 4-speed at his shop in Commerce.

If Paul doesn't have one, give TFS a call and talk with Matt.  He can probably tell you if theirs is interchangeable.
