Is anyone having problems with our home page and message board being very slow to load? It took me nearly 2 minutes to get to the point to post this. It's not just this device I'm on at the moment, but also on two other devices that I've been experiencing this for close to a week.
What's up?

Have not had any problems this week
-
No problems here either.

I'm beginning to think it's Windstream. It seems that every time they have a big campaign to sell higher speed DSL, the current DSL gets slower. Right now they're pushing hard to upgrade to 5G, so that's probably my problem.

I am on AT&T 5G.

It's "kind of" slow for me. Takes 15-20 seconds for a page to load, once I click on a button. Usually is pretty much instant.
(I'm using an AT&T wireless reseller for internet. Speeds are typically 10 down, 8 up. No 5G out here in the boonies.)

I spoke too soon. All the other sites I go to are still opening as fast as usual, but this site has slowed way down when opening and switching from one thread to another.
I will let you know if anything changes.

Yes, last week this site was the only one loading extremely slow......
-
Seems to be fairly normal now.

Even at work on my work computer and their fast internet GFC site is VERY slow compared to what it has always been.

Yesteerday my speed increased on my phone and laptop, too. I haven't used the desktop but I'm assuming it did, too.

It has slowed way down again, or maybe it has just gone to sleep at 3 AM. ???

Nope. The anchor has been tossed out again.

Jason and I have been talking with another person about becoming a co-webmaster. They have agreed to take on the task to co-admin with Pat. We don't know if this will help with the speed problems we are experiencing, but it will allow one webmaster to update and address problems when the other might be unavailable.
We have a negotiated yearly fee that will need approval of the Board of Directors. The agreement runs year to year, renewable or cancellable at the end of each calendar year.
I will be sending out an email to the Board Members for their approval or rejection of the maintenance fee. I will not post that fee here because we don't want to get into discussions on whether it's too cheap or too expensive. If we have a majority approval, we will proceed.
-
The Board of Directors has approved adding another webmaster. Be patient as whatever changes might need to be made can't be done all at once.
-
That will be a good thing, I think.

If you are experiencing issues with the home page or message board, please be patient. We now have co-webmasters and they are working to update the website. It's possible that the site may be down at any time, so just wait. No need to send off a flurry of emails and texts. Only the two webmasters can address the issues.
