Title: Alignment

Just before last years RFTH someone was taking thier car to get it aligned.. They said the person there was very familiar with the fiero & did an outstanding job, I think it was somewhere on the west side of 285 ??  anyone remember ?????

Jerry, I did a forum search and I didn't find anything where it was discussed here.  Must have been a conversation? 

Anyway, I don't know about the west side, but out here, several of us have been using Lanier Tire and Wheel in Cumming with good results.  I've been using them since around 89 or 90.  Don might be able to guide you to someone a little closer.

Try Wren's body shop on Fairburn Road. Less than 1/2 mile south of 78. If you're going south, it's on the right.
The alignment shop is around the back on the left side.
Tell them the guy with the Challenger sent you.

The only problem I had with the 88 is that the fasteners have to be tightened to like 50 lb.ft. and then a half turn, or something like that. Something went wrong, and it slipped. Earlier cars won't have those issues.
I have been back to them twice since that happened. Once for the Challenger (they replaced the springs and shocks with SRT stuff) and once (this week) for an alignment on a Silverado.

Recommend them highly.

There's also a Tires Plus on the corner of Fairburn Road and Hospital Drive, across from McDonalds.
I think that's where Don takes his car.
You might give him a shout and make sure. I think they've done a good job for him.

radar do they have any problem with aftermarket wheels with bigger tires?

If you've got some spare time, and like to tinker, this is an excellent method:

I've used it on the Lotus, and we successfully set the toe on Cow/Fierfly's convertible fiero.  They did have some issues with camber, but we really didn't mess with camber, so I take no responsibility for that.  Since the fiero's body is different from the Lotus, you'll need to square the strings against something other than the car.  We used cinder blocks for our attempt, which worked well.

Sorry. Didn't see your question until now.
Based on what I've seen, it shouldn't be an issue.

They swapped all the SRT suspension stuff into my other car, and aligned it.
Before they began, they asked me a couple of questions about the replacement parts. That's it.
Didn't even blink.
