Title: Expanding our club by including Solstice owners
Post by: TopNotch on January 12, 2011, 06:21:48 pm
At the Polar Bear Run lunch, Charlie (fierofool) and I talked to Kim, former head of the Peach State Kappa Club (Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky), who said that the club has disbanded. What do you think of inviting them to join our club?

On January 16, I posted to the PeachState Kappa Club's forum and posed the question if they would like to meet with us and discuss the possibility of combining our clubs in some form.  I also emailed Kim.  She replied that she was down with the flu and would give me a call in about a week.  I haven't heard from her.

There have been 80 views of the thread with no responses.  I guess they aren't interested in doing much of anything.

I think the fact that there hasn't been a single "no" vote says it all.  Personally, I am for it.  I think in the long term, it will be natural for the Fieros and the Kappas to to run together, no reason to avoid the inevitable.

Actually, there has been a big "no", from the Kappa people. They've been invited to our meetings, and none of them have come.

We did a couple of runs with them.  They seemed to enjoy themselves, but the biggest complaint was that we ran off and left them.

I honestly don't think they want to join with us.  If their website is any indication, their club isn't very cohesive or active.  As Pat said, we've made several invitations to meet and to do events and we don't even get the courtesy of a reply.  We've never received an invitation from them.  They are welcome as a group or as individuals.
