Wife just got home and told me that her brake pedal goes down to the floor sometimes and she has to pump it 2 - 3 times before the brakes engage.
Is this a bleeding issue or maybe something more serious?
New pads and rotors all around, done by PO in January.
Any suggestions or tips?

Make sure parking brake is adjusted properly:

Thanks Pat
Although the EB needed adjusting, pedal still isn't optimal, I'll keep trying

Now when I tap the breakes, my stereo cuts off for about 2 seconds!??
What the heck??
Anybody run into that one before?

Just pulled out the stereo and checked all the wires - don't have a short anywhere that I can find - all seems as it should
Checked wiring diagram - can't find anything that would make the two seperate circuits related
Stumped
Anyone?

That IS weird!
Anybody got a chicken we can sacrifice?

Tires Plus in Buford told me they can bleed brakes on an 84 Fiero, $59.
Going there Monday as they are closed for the holiday tomorrow, hope that gets it then.
Still can't figure out the stereo cutting out when hitting the brakes, getting live chickens and a sharp knife tomorrow ;D

Since the brake lights would pose a large current draw, it may be a weak ground.
Check the ground near the battery. Almost directly below the positive terminal.
Also, check the ground connections between the block and chassis. That should
be the ground strap on the battery side near the hood hinge.
Check to see if the same problem occurs when you turn the headlights on.
It may be that the regulator in the alternator is weak and slow to respond to
the additional amp draw.
I think the white feathered chickens are best. Get garlic too!

LOL
As to the ground, checked everything, replaced the main ground to the battery about a month ago.
Took it for a spin last night after re-adjusting the EB and the issue no longer occured. Maybe throwing some spicy Cajun chicken sausage on the BBQ yesterday was sacrifice enough?
Also did some dark German wheat beer with that - Erdinger Dunkel
Maybe the gods liked that?
;D
